Tovolo Mini Turner Tongs, Oyster Gray

I stumbled upon these tongs a few years ago and to this day are my main tongs to use.— SILICONE FLAT HEAD —One of the main selling points for me is the silicone flat heads. They are heat resistant to 600° F so I don't have to worry about it melting when picking up hot things. (However, you should never leave any silicone lying on a hot surface; they will be fine for quick pickups but will likely melt when left on a heated surface for an extended time.)The silicone is also great for picking things up on non-stick cookware; you don't have to worry about scratching your pans like metal tongs would do.The flat head picks up nearly everything, and the flat heads ensure that your items is sandwiched in securely with because of the extra surface area.— SILICONE GRIPS —The silicone on the grips can wear down over time and fall off. Even it that happens you can remove the silicone and it doesn't affect holding it. I bought a replacement after my tongs went missing and removed the grips anyway so that it would be light enough to hang on a magnet on my fridge.— LOCKING MECHANISM —A circular pull at the end will lock the tongs closed. A push and it opens up. It's easy to use and doesn't accidentally lock/unlock while picking up things.— SUMMARY —This is my go-to tongs. It's cute, highly versatile for many uses, and the right price. Recommended.

This is nice and small and the RED stands out in my crowded drawer when I need to find it. Worked great with my vertical Ninja Waffle maker.

I bought one of these in a store years ago. It took a beating and started to fall apart. So happy to be able to find a replacement on amazon.

I had hoped to use this with my tiny frying pan to flip my egg. Unfortunately, the silicone edges of the turner are rather thick, so they don’t slide under the egg but end up curling it over. So, this set of tongs works better for plucking up stiffer food items that won’t collapse or crunch into pieces. I make sure to place the tongs upright in the dishwasher so that water doesn’t get trapped in the handle and rust the hinges.

I liked these little tongs so much I got a second pair for when they other ones are in the dishwasher or dirty. I use them for almost everything I could need tongs for in the kitchen. I love that they are not huge like typical BBQ grill ones. Those bigger longer ones are definitely needed when grilling, but for all the little things you do when cooking inside, these little tongs are perfect. I use them when cooking, using my air fryer, pulling things out of the toaster oven, flipping things in pans or pots. They are just excellent and worth every cent. I'd buy these if they were 3x the price.

I bought these to replace a cheaper pair I had that melted. They were a little smaller than I was expecting, but I love the blue color. The silicone heads are thick and the whole thing feels high quality. I will never buy bargain tongs again. I use them almost every day. I don't want to put them in the dishwasher because I don't want it to fall apart like other ones I've had in the past. So I hand wash it. I would order them again. Love this cute little TURNER and I mean little so check the size before you buy it. It works well. Highly recommend it.

I’ve been using these for about a year now — they aren’t specifically bad, but they’re not specifically good either. They get the job done, but the spring (on mine anyway) is a bit stiff, and sometimes gets stuck halfway closed and I have to use two hand to open it again.I will keep them and continue to use them because of the handy, small size, but I would not buy them again.

I have ordered a few of these over the years. I love them! They are a nice size and they are easy to use. They work better than others and are durable. Love' em.

This set was a bit smaller than I expected... my own fault for not checking a ruler before I purchased! But the quality is great and I've had no issues using it to replace my old one (which was 11" long and a cheapo from a discount kitchen store.) It works exactly as I need it to and resists heat well. I would definitely buy this again- but maybe in the larger size next time, just for the few times I reach into the stove to flip food rather than take out the tray.
