Dispensr 1000 Plastic Wrap Dispenser

I will never go back to using any other type of plastic wrap again! Once you get down the proper technique for using this dispenser, you won't ever want to go back to those little infuriating boxes. If you're thinking "Why does this require a special technique to use?" then please keep reading. Just like trying to use your first electric can opener, you have to learn how the tool was designed, otherwise it can get frustrating.This stuff is very "clingy." That's part of what makes it so fantastic. I don't know if it says so in the instructions, but you'll need to lubricate the inner circumference of the roll where it touches the guides. Without lubrication there is too much friction. (Just goop some petroleum jelly in there - it will not interfere with the wrap itself.) When dispensing, you can't just pull forward...Here's what you do: Don't pull out a ton of wrap - just cling a SHORT length of wrap to the front edge of your plate (which means you'll be putting most of your plate beneath the dispenser - but 6" or more below). Once that leading edge has clung to the plate, pull the entire plate down and kinda toward you (but not straight forward), which will dispense the wrap rather easily. Once you have the wrap enclosing the entire plate/container, you'll bring the whole plate up to cut the wrap. You will almost never need to pull out a strip of this stuff for carrying across the room (like when using the little cardboard box). Too often people want to pull straight toward themselves, which creates friction issues with the plastic rubbing too hard against the slot. Use a wide arcing motion and you'll get brilliant results.This thing works AWESOME if you give it a go and try different techniques. Looking at the reviews, you can see that most people either absolutely love it (using the right technique) or are frustrated by it (not using the right technique). If you aren't satisfied with how this works at first, keep at it and try different ways of making it work. In short order you'll discover how to work WITH this thing rather than against it, and then you'll be in leftover storage bliss!

I use this every day. I tried screwing it under my cabinet, but pulling down and back on the plastic wrap shifted the container and it would fall off. So I added a piece of 1/2 " x 2" piece of wooden molding screwed down behind it toKeep it from moving. Works perfectly.

Can definitely say that this is TRULY A "little piece of junk"!!! God knows I've looked for quite some time, over and over and over. Decided to buy this one. It arrived on time, as usual but what a USELESS, USELESS, USELESS piece of nothingness!! It is so 'FLIMSY', ALL IN ALL!! Everything is flimsy about it and I can't even begin to process how some people can write these reviews and say things that are not true!!!JUST A FLIMSY PIECE OF NOTHINGNESS...I've tried to make it work...TOO FLIMSY, the 'contraption' is so CHEAP, the plastic wrap itself, so thin and cheap, it does not tear properly...NOT ONCE, HAVE I TRIED THAT THE FILM WOULD HAVE CUT PROPERLY!!So far, buying on Amazon has almost always been successful for me. You can't win them all, I agree and I barely, barely write negative reviews but this one is a 'TOTAL LOSER'. Please, do not waste your money in buying this stuff. I am sorry for this manufacturer but if they want to sell their products, then they'll have to REDO, RE-ENGINEER (?) RE-DESIGN their product. They can't just pretend to be willing to sell something so bad (to me, it's call "stealing" good people's money) and think they are going to get away with it.

My old model finally died after many years, so I tried one of those sit on the counter units and could not stand the hassle or the lack of counter space. I thought I would be saving some money but all it did was cause me a lot of aggravation. I love having the dispenser off the counter and will never go back to something that sits on the counter or in a drawer. The convenience and ease of this unit is unsurpassed. My only wish is that I could refill it with wrap that you get at Costco. I did find some off-brand wrap that fits this dispenser, but I will need to do some hunting to figure out what store it came from.

I cook a lot and have many uses for plastic wrap. It's a go-to product that I can't live without. However, dealing with those cartons with their sharp teeth, trying like hell to make sure the plastic doesn't roll back on itself, trying like hell not to cut myself, hoping the sheet doesn't wad up during cutting--a miserable user-experience. All problems solved with the Ezee-Wrap. Installed under the counter, the wrap hangs down neatly, pull with 2 hands for easy cutting. I gave one to my son, who called it revelatory. The wrap lasted years; I just inserted the second roll that comes with it.

The two end pieces holding it in were BOTH cracked and falling apart. Need to see if I can get the parts to replace them. I had already installed it before I noticed the damage...UGH

This wrap dispenser is quite easy to use. I like that it mounts under the cabinet, freeing your hands to manipulate the wrap alone (and not the box and wrap). The only limitation is that typical saran wrap rolls do not fit the dispenser. The cardboard roll is too small.

One of my favorite kitchem items! Your microwave will never get dirty! You can buy any refills as long as the size is correct. Very sturdy and easy to install and use!
