I husband had to have this kind of can opener because he thought it was easier to use, but I chose a different kind of can opener and when this one eventually fell apart due to pressure the one I bought had to come to the rescue..

Cheaper than dollar store quality. I bought this based on reviews of other people saying how it was a good value and it felt good to use. It is the worst can opener I ever used. I lost my really good opener and had to find a replacement. I wish I didn't waste this much money on such garbage. The gears slip, the cutting wheel has to be at exactly the right angle or it won't cut, the handle feels ok, but not especially nice. I felt I had to write this review to warn others to NOT BUY THIS!!EDIT: Their customer service team reached out to me and offered a refund, so they are good about that. I appreciate them standing behind their products. I increased my rating to 3 stars because of this.

THE HANDLE CAME OFF OF THE SHAFT AND AT THAT POINT IT WAS NOT ABLE TO BE REATTACHED.DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!Follow up: I was contacted by the seller who made this right by me! They stood by their product and provided a refund which was the right thing to do. This seller is legitimate and not out to rip you off, if they were they would not have provided a full refund for my device.

I was looking for a good but inexpensive smooth edge can opener to replace an expensive one I bought less than a year ago and that had stopped working. I wanted something usable while I decided if I wanted an electric opener. This opener works well, is easy to turn and has a good price. It does leave sharp edges on the lid so you need to be careful of that but not on the can which helps if you recycle. That is why I deducted one star.

To add on, their customer service was great, sent me a card apologizing so I would give them another chance in case my item was defective......This didn't work well, my wife thought she was doing something wrong. After a few times we thought we would get the hang of it, but then realized "it's a can opener, there is nothing to get the hang of!". I stopped by the store to get another brand this weekend and it works really well. Too late to return this one for us (you will be able to buy it cheap at goodwill), but I would keep shopping if I were you!

Hate to say this but it’s probably the biggest waste of money I’ve had for a while. It just doesn’t work very well. Once you get all the way around the can you can see areas where it didn’t cut thru and you have to do it several times and sometimes have to pry can lid open

Bought this as a back up (just in case) to a battery powered opener. This one works like a dream, the blade is sharp and the handle is easy to hold. I had an old manual opener that I tossed (the blade was rusted and worn down) and the new one is more ergonomically designed, easier to use and I have no complaints at all. Again, this is a back up but we've used it a few times before using the battery powered opener. It doesn't leave quite the smooth edge of the battery-powered opener but no problem it does the job with no hassle. Recommended.

On the first glance it looked like a good product. Unfortunately, it started having problems after I used it for a few times. Maybe I had bad luck and got a defective can opener. I guess, it happens. The customer service is excellent and they refunded the money.
