International Motor Racing Guide: A Complete Reference from Formula One to Nascar

This book attempts the impossible task of covering virtually all of the world's major auto racing series' in one volume, as well as discussing racing circuits and race drivers. Considering that fact the author has done an amazing job of distilling all of this information into one, easy to handle volume.The item description perfectly describes this book, and to anyone whose interest is piqued by the description, adding this book to your library would be well worth it. I bought this book in 2005, and I still look at it fairly often in 2011. My hope is that someday we will see an updated edition.

This is an indipensible reference work for the motor racing enthusiast. Unfortunately, the web is making books of this type rare. Vital stats for every major series, driver, and circuit are included. The presentation and commentaries are readable and enlightening. Hopefully another volume is forthcoming from Mr. Higham but if not, this book provides a comprehensive overview of automobile racing in the 20th century within the covers of a single volume. Highly recommended.

GREAT REFERENCE BOOK

It seems that Mr. Higham has spent years searching through dusty basements and smelly photo archives to assemble all of this information. If you're interesed in finding out who won what when, this is the book for you. A bit mind-numbing really, as there is so much information gathered here that it is overwhelming.For the serious anorak, there is nothing like this volume!Highly recommended.

The trouble with this kind of data book is that it's already dated one minute before it's published. This book covers up until 2002 and, as you know, were already at 2007...Also, in the Internet age all thsi data can easily be obtained in a lot of web sites. Of course, this kind of book has the advantage of displaying the data in a friendly manner and within only one tome.Well, anyway, make up your own mind...

基本的には、Ｆ1、Ｆ2、Ｆ3000、ＩＮＤＹＣＡＲ（ＣＡＲＴ，ＩＲＬ）等のフォーミュラーカーレースや、ルマン、ＷＳＣ、ＧＴ等のスポーツカーレースの２００２年までの記録集です。　Ｆ1やＷＳＣ等世界選手権やＦ3000、ＩＮＤＹＣＡＲ等国際選手権に関しては、それぞれのレースに対して決勝６位までの順位が掲載されていますし、各カテゴリー別に出走数ヤ勝利数等記録集も掲載されています。また各国の国内選手権のチャンピオン（Ｆ3、ＧＴ等）やグランプリレース（戦前含む）の優勝者、ドライバーの生涯成績等も掲載されており、かなりわかりやすく、また充実していると思います。本当は、星５つといきたいところですが、ＮＡＳＣＡＲとＦ3の記録が、若干薄いように感じますので次回再販？の際は、このあたりを　充実させてほしいところですね。　とにかく日本国内では、なかなかこの手の本が、出版されないだけに購入して損は、無いと思いますよ。
