Mark: Miracles and Mercy (The Passion Translation) Paperback – October 1, 2015

I just started using this book as a compliment to a group study I am in on the Book of Mark..We have just gone through Chapter 1...and I have learned so much already due to Introduction and the great notes on many of the verses. The Passion Translation is so good, and I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to get a fresh view of the Book of Mark.

Simple, I have read different bible versions. Differing sizes and texts. But reading a gospel or book as a small paperback, devoted to that one book was really what the bible is. A grouping of 66 books. I was able to concentrate and meditate in each page of the book and only that book. I do not read the commentaries as I want the revelation not another's . I have ordered Romans and will read after Mark. Will keep ordering these priceless paperbacks. I had to change as I had stopped reading my bible and it was becoming a chore. This version is now working for me and I am reading my Bible again.

I love this translation it gives you the meat of the word. Helps you understand what it really is saying from Jewish side of things. The meaning of certain words. I love reading Gods word and this translation makes it even greater.

Brilliantly written so easy to understand

Dr Simmons' comprehension of the original languages and their nusances brings a depth of understanding to the Bible books he has translated.Although the Passion translations will not provide the style which makes for easy recall of a verse they do provide the style which allows the reader to flow through the narrative and make easy sense of it. The sense is also expanded over other translations as he incorporates several possible ways of reading a verse in his translation to follow traditional Hebrew exegesis.I love all the books he has translated and look forward to many more.
