American & Efird 32674 Maxi-Lock All Purpose Serger Thread 3,000 Yards Eggshell

I like the thread but as I got into the cone I have many short pieces of thread, not even enough to wind a bobbin. Is that normal?

This is a good basic thread. I needed exactly this color, and was glad to find it. It does fray or 'fluff' just a bit when handled, but the thread still seems strong. I'm using it to hand-knot beaded malas. To do that I have to have 8 strands, doubled (so 16 threads through each bead at once), So I expect this will hold the beads pretty securely for some time to come. It was easy to work with, and wasn't prone to much tangling.

My mistake. This is thread for a serger but I did try to use it on my regular sewing machine but broke too often. Again, my mistake.

The color is true to that pictured. It appears too be well made. I have not had any unusual or constant thread breaks as with some thread of less quality. It fits properly on my machine and contributes to a nice finish. I have found that the Maxi Lock Cone thread for my Serger is excellent and I will continue to buy more.

I do a lot of sewing and quilting and MaxiLock thread is ideal -- meant for sergers but the fiber is strong and low-lint,doesn't mess up my machine, thread only breaks when I've done something stupid, and my work holds up through hard use and many washings. If you sew or quilt, get a cone in every color, you'll be glad you did.

Worked to fix the edge of my carpet due to dog chewing. Not an exactly color match but close enough that no one notices if you don't point it out. I used a carpet needle and doubled this stuff up 4 or 5 times to make it go quicker.
