Buy and read this summary first then the original book. It may save your life
I am a graduate of Johns Hopkins School of Public Health with an M.P.H. concentration in International Health. I recently received a letter from my Dean, who referenced the republished book as one he had been given but not read until Covid-19 was loose in our world. I bought both this guide and summary and the original book based on that letter. I have found this summary very compelling and have begun to read the book.

Brilliant, comprehensive, prescient
I love this author who has written the seminal work on both the 1918 pandemic and the great Mississippi River flood of 1927.

Too short and way too preachy.
I realize it was a summary but this was a waste of money. It was interesting, but way too brief and in the end way too preachy. I don't need to talk down to about vaccines and climate change. Especially don't want to hear about some teenage brainwashed kid as if she is a scientist.
