Great for classic rock fans
It’s exactly as described. I’m not sure if some of the people complaining about songs being incomplete are unaware of how to read music or if they thought the music for flutes would follow the guitar. It’s music for the flute and so far the songs I’ve tried have sounded good and accurate and plenty of the songs contain repeats and d.c. al coda to give you complete compositions. The book does state that some of the titles listed have been omitted for copyright reasons but it’s only a few and there’s still over 100 songs. Whether or not you personally consider these some of the greatest rock songs is subjective, there’s some songs I personally would replace with others I consider far superior but if you have a problem with certain songs being considered American classics, maybe your time would be better spent creating your own compositions to your favorite songs. This book is a great tool for practicing music and getting an ear for how to translate guitar riffs to flute. I’m glad I bought it and I’d recommend it to any classic rock fan. Sincerely, a POC under the age of 55 🤘🏼

Good book, bad binding
This book has a lot of great songs and based on, I recommend it. However, the first time I opened it, half of the pages came unglued from the binding, leaving me with a chunk of loose leaf pages. I ordered another book from Hal Leonard and have used them for years so I know the company produces quality work. I think this one was just a dud.

Great for kids in regular band
My daughter has been in band for a few years and it is like pulling teeth to get her to practice. However, this selection of popular songs helps make it a little easier. The music isn't too difficult for her to learn and it is a nice break for parents having to listen to the selections that the band teachers make her do. She did like some of these songs before she got the book, so keep that in mind if your child has never heard of any of these selections.

Lots of songs
Easy t find a song for any skill level, often does not include all of the song

Some songs are weak, some are really good.
Some songs have literally the same note for like 8 notes in a row. Other's like Dream On are incredibly good and complex / well done.It doesn't include the lyrics under the notes so that adds an extra amount of work needed to know where your at

Good book
Although some have indicated missing songs I took the time to count page by page and there are over 100 in my book. I enjoy playing these songs. Vary in challenge level. If you want a song book that allows you to play some popular tunes then this is a good book. Variety of genre to choose from. Sitting on the Dock of the Bay to Roxanne. Glad I bought it. Wish it had backing tracks!

Would have like lyrics too.
Would be much better with lyrics. It is easier to understand how the music goes when you have the accompanying words.
