This is a nice set especially for the price. I would have rated it 5 stars but I don't think the blades are quite sharp enough for my needs. My beard is thicker than average but it gets flyaway gray hairs. I don't mind that they're gray, everyone says it looks good with a few gray hairs in it. It's dark brown/black. I just don't like the flyaway effect. These are rogue hairs that point outwards of your beard in opposite direction of the grain. With these scissors, I get a lot of flyaway hairs that just fold over but don't cut. This is a very precision cut since I'm cutting one hair out of hundreds. I do still use these for trimming in the thick areas but bought a pair of barber, Japanese steel, to cut the flyaway hairs. To show how frustrating this is, the Japanese steel ones cut right through the flyaway hairs but struggle with the thicker parts of my beard. In that regard, these are just as important as the others since they excel at one part each. Nice comb and case too. For added show of frustration, the comb works great to help me make the precise flyaway cuts with the other scissors.

From the photo, it was difficult to tell the quality of this set. When it arrived in the post, I was pleased to feel the weight of it. The shears are listed as high carbon steel, which is great! High Carbon = Edge Retention. The mini-comb in the set feels nice, too; it has some weight to it, considering its size, and feels to be made of a quality plastic. Finally, the case is made of a thick pleather/vinyl material; it is not flimsy as I had expected, and feels it may last a long time. I am very pleased with this grooming set, and if it stands the test of time, I may return with a follow-up edit to this review.

Bought these for my husband but for some reason I'm still the one trimming his beard 😂. They are definitely adequate size for a male hand. Mine came with an imperfection on the inside but Is upvfar enough that it does not disturbed the cleanness of the cut. They come in a case which is a nice touch and a very small mustache comb as well. They're sharp but when I read reviews and the description I was anticipating something more sharp. My husband has a pretty coarse beard and these do well with it. I'd definitely recommend to a friend or as a small gift for someone.Imperfection shown in photo.

The striking Viking beard and mustache scissors are very nice, I like them a lot. They are very sharp, and cut hair with ease. Even the little minute hairs come right off. Stainless steel and will last for years, I will probably hand them down to my son. Plus the nice little leather case they come in makes it very easy to access them, and keeps them in a safe place. Fits nicely on the shelf,(and looks manly too)!One thing, I did think they would be a little bit bigger. But the actual size is not bad if all you're going to be doing is trimming beard and mustache hair, perfect for the job.

I am looking planning to use this for travel, so I always have mustache and beard trimming with me. I like the size of this set, since the maximum size allowed on planes per TSA is 4" from hinge to tip. These are well under that, so should be OK to take in my carry on bag. The quality seems good, as is the price. I look forward to many years of beard and mustache trimming with these scissors.

The scissors are great, not the sharpest I've owned, but the ends meet nicely and do fine detail work well. The case is nice, though a bit thinner than I had hoped, but I think I'm spoiled from buying things from Saddleback Leather. The scissors are the best I've owned, and being a little dull isn't an issue because of how well they fit, and in practice they trimmed my beard very nicely.I'd prefer a thicker case, and with a slip in tongue rather than a button, but the one that comes with it is more than sufficient.
