Hey James, this camshaft will have a bit of lope to it. The performance characteristics note that this cam has "Good street performance with stock converter, choppy idle."

That cam is not the correct one for that engine. It is a factory hydraulic roller engine. I would recommend our 08-300-8. We also offer it in a SK08-300-8.

It is a good street cam for a SBC engine. It will work with a stock converter and have excellent street manners.

No, it's for older cars with carburetors. I got this for my 1996 Chevy impala Cam didn't fit distributor cap.
