Stride Ritebaby Summer Time Sandal

I always buy Stride Rite sandals, but these are the first that I find to be of lower quality design. The fact that they look like a t-strap but the strap velcros over the "T" is unattractive--it should lace through the "T" instead of overlapping it. Also, the back of the shoe is so unstable on my daughter's foot that I am returning them. Why this sandal was made with an open back is baffling--there is not enough structure to hold the child's foot securely in place. Her foot kept sliding around at the back because of it. The front of the sandal is adorable and fits nicely, the leather is of nice quality, as is the sole of the shoe. However, due to the way the shoe actually fits on the foot, it is not a good summer play sandal and definitely not worth the cost.

These sandals are so cute, and my daughter loves them! She's almost 3, and I bought the 10.5W. They fit great. She always has to wear a wide in Stride Rite while her feet fit the normal width in other brands.With some closed toe fisherman-style sandals, her big toe ends up poking through the hole at the end of the toe box. These are designed to have only a slender opening between the straps at the toe box (if that makes sense), so there's no worries of her toe poking through. The sole is memory foam, which seems comfortable. I was also pleasantly surprised to realize that that the buckle on the ankle strap is just for show. The strap really connects with velcro. Since we just bought these, I can't yet speak to longevity. I am very hopeful they will hold up well.

These are the "re-vamped" version of the discontinued Summer sandal and honestly, Stride Rite really should have left well enough alone. The previous version wore like dressed-up, light-weight, airy play shoes; almost sneakers. My little one ran and jumped and played for hours, all while looking cute, and for quite a few years too; we just kept getting bigger sizes as she grew. This Summertime sandal is just that, a sandal. While the foot bed seems cushy, the ankle strap seems almost misplaced and offers zero support. There's less sandal all around. There will be no running and jumping and playing in these. Maybe she'll wear them for a short while for church, but that's only if i can get her to even put them on. I will say, they're very cute to look at though. Pretty bummed.

My daughter is normally 7 1/2 w, but that was crazy wide. we had to go to 7 for it to fit, so keep that in mind.Otherwise, she likes the show. It has a Velcro strap (even thought that is not obvious from the pic) so my toddler likes to try and put them on her self. The foam support is amazing. My daughter can run and jump in these, but they are still cool enough for summer. She's been rough on them for about a week now, and they still look really white and holding up, the quality seems top notch.

We have bought Stride Rite shoes since she began walking because of their amazing comfort and support. I ordered and returned four other pairs of sandals before finally ordering these. They are super cushiony and have arch support, which is great! This is a quality sandal all around. Our toddler is super active and these sandals have never given her blisters or left any kind of marks (even when it’s super hot outside and her feet sweat). She actually chooses these shoes over other pairs a lot of the time. I was hesitant about ordering white shoes, but they wipe clean and go with everything (shorts, leggings and dresses). We returned the “medium” with cause our little one has chunky feet, so we went with the “wide.”

These work great for the summer! Wanted something closed toe for daycare. These are stylish and get the job done. Only wish I purchased them sooner.

My gals foot is in 1/2 sizes, and so the 11 1/2 medium width did fit with room to grow. However, this sandal is not the same as the previous SR summer fisherman sandal. The strap behind her foot was higher, so even when I tightened it to the maximum, her foot still wobbled. Although the older sandal version ran a shoe size too big, she could still wear it securely. So, I returned the sandal. It looks fine - it is possible my daughter's foot is too narrow for this shoe.

I love these sandals for my 6yo and she was able to put them on and wear from day 1 with no problems. First purchase of these sandals as our local Stride Rite store has gone out of business and for 20 years through 5 kids we have only purchased stride rite while they're still littles. Stride rite offers proper heel and arch support which is extremely important for the growing foot. The larger her foot gets, it becomes increasingly harder to find a summer dressy sandal for church with a CLOSED TOE. Even from Stride Rite. I don't know why shoe manufacturers make so many open toed sandals for kids - its an accident waiting to happen. I will continue to buy this sandal until she grows out of it. They are great little sandals for young children. Last year, I couldn't find sandals with the toes covered and was happy to find these this year for my granddaughter. A little early for summer here, but didn't want to miss out on them. Nicely made and lined with leather which makes them so much more comfortable for little feet especially if used without socks on those hot days.

This Sandals are true to size and very comfortable, great quality

To explain, the length of the shoes was as expected, but the shoes are made very wide. Had to return them as my daughter's feet are very thin.
