My Kind Of

A lovely vinyl issue of a perfect record, with that voice, Sam at his peak, and top band players. It's not really blues: it's Swing, it's Gershwin, it's Rodgers and Hart, it's Ellington and it's Irving Berlin. And it's a real gem.

This is Sam Cooke doing his take on swing, pretty good songs but not up to his usual standard. Also it's on NotNow records which is basically a budget product that cut's corners on quality. Nevertheless it sits in my vinyl collection and it was cheap but I was a bit disappointed.
