This is a great shield; however, there is something to take into consideration if you are looking for PPE. I am petite (5'2"). The shield is long (a few inches below my chin) and wraps nearly ear to ear. So I get a lot of coverage. However, thanks to a question posted by another customer, I realized there is indeed a gap between the headbands. This means there is a way for droplets to come from above. If you are petite as I am, there is a significant chance droplets from a cough, sneeze, or speaking would come from above and travel between the gap down to to my eyes, nose, mouth. *I modified the shield with soft foam weather stripping.* It's easy to pop out and wash. You will want to do it carefully, so as not to damage the shield. If you make this modification, IT WILL FOG under certain conditions. I use mine every day, but only with the foam.

I ordered this product because I'm going to be taking a plane trip and going thru airports, and I want the extra level of protection this face shield can provide. I looked at all the competing products here on Amazon before selecting this one. I liked that this particular face protector appeared to be more durable than the rest, it didn't have advertising written all over it, and the shield looked to me like it was a strong and clear material for the face protector part and would give me a crystal clear vision. I made the right choice selecting this one -- it couldn't be better for the price. It's a nice, simple, clean-looking, durable design and the vision thru it is crystal clear. And it's not a flimsy shield. In my opinion, I think it's functionally perfect for its intended use and purpose. I also appreciate it having a nice, uncluttered look which is a big difference compared to many competitor face shields. In fact, that was one of my selection criteria too. This is the first product review I've ever written for an Amazon product (I'm not generally a review writer) but this product is exactly what I was looking for and didn't disappoint me in any way. Also, I see it's made in southern California where it apparently ships from. I was also pleased that it arrived a day earlier than the indicated date of delivery when I placed my order. Since I wanted it for my trip, it arrived in plenty of time. For as simple as this product is, I'd say it's a well thought-out design including all the selected materials. When it arrived, it was well packaged and looked like the company is very professional. The other very favorable reviews I see for this product are correct in saying this is a very good product.

I purchased two of these to wear for added protection over our face masks and glasses if we are ever in situations where we feel the need for another level of protection. They were very easy to assemble and are fairly comfortable (once you get over the idea of wearing a face shield). We have worn them once for about three hours to a medical appointment. We both wore face masks and goggles beneath the shield; I had zero issues with fogging, but my son’s glasses did slightly fog, but nothing that was distracting enough to distract. My biggest gripes are that the shield doesn’t cover the ears and it has a sizable gap between the red headband and the shield itself, which I will need to fill will foam or another material.

I love this shield. YOU CANNOT wear a hat with this however -- Not a wide brimmed hat or even a baseball hat (unless you move the visor portion to the back of the head). With this shield on you have the freedom and fresh air to breathe while being protected in a way that a mask will never do. I was experiencing anxiety attacks when wearing every single one of my ordinary and various masks. I could never breathe properly and was always fidgeting with the mask as it fell down which impacts the protective quality. This shield is perfect except for the fact that you cannot wear a hat with it. Since the C-virus will be with us for a long, long time, get a face shield like this. You'll save money too because you won't have to throw this one away after one use. I had several people compliment me and I told them to go to Amazon to buy. You will be seeing a lot more people wearing these as time goes on and the word gets out. Give them as gifts to the ones you love.

I have some minor issues with this product, but the most important one is that I kept finding clusters of scratches on the clear plastic visor; cloudy patches that were not transparent. I could not figure out what was causing them, but finally realized that every time the visor slid down (another thing it does, but then again, I have a small head) it was coming into contact with the corners of my glasses, and the metal was causing the scratches. So I suppose if you wear plastic frames, no problem. But if you've got metal frames, this is what you can expect. Perhaps I should have bought a visor with a "non-skid" feature.
