Soft Close Toilet Seat, Wide Choice of New Toilet Seats, Stable Hinges, Easy to Mount (Rusty)

On arrival this product has a very attractive design and of excellent fit. It took only a short time to fit. That was about 10 months ago. Recently, this seats film surface began to delaminate and has now been replaced with a seat from another manufacturer.

Tried to find a similar toilet seat to our existing good quality green opaque glass one that didn't look cheap and nasty. Needed to be a green pattern to go with my soon to be renovated cloakroom - art deco style. Took a punt on this one having read other reviews and so far - really great - if you can get excited about a toilet seat!The green marbled effect is of good quality and doesn't look cheap. Feels like veneered MDF but is not too heavy and with the soft close action works like a dream. In fact we have to warn people when using for first time to not force the seat down, as it takes a while for the seat to lower and is incredibly quiet!The chrome effect fixings are withstanding regular use from three men and their unintentional occasional spray (;o) and the seat was very easy to fix to the toilet, having measured everything in advance to ensure it fitted properly before purchasing.The marble effect pattern on ours matches perfectly (with no air bubbles or creases) as I've seen some reviews to say theirs didn't and they were disappointed. Probably just a bad batch - it happens.Overall very impressed with this toilet seat and would buy other designs again if required.

Easy to fit & looks just like the picture! I have had it for a almost a year now & it is still sturdy, I love it!

Lovely quality seat, soft close works well, images look amazing.However , the only negative, a real pain to fit, I'm a perfectionist and found it hard to align my mother's toilet bowl, and ad you need the screws on the swivel hinges loose to align, when you remove to tighten, the move out of position, ideally this would have a way of securing the seat position from underneath while in situ prior to fixing the nut tightly.

UPDATE - 28th January 2023It DID last longer than another month. I have had to take it off to re-attach the bracket about five times though. I did that again today and the screw thread has now worn off rendering the seat totally unusable. Do not buy this seat. Total garbage.UPDATE - 7th September 2022Less than two months after fitting it, one of the hinges on the seat is now breaking. This has resulted in the seat sitting at a strange angle and the seat will no longer stay in the upright position. If this thing lasts another month I'll be truly gobsmacked.ORIGINAL REVIEWThe first time I ordered this it arrived with a piece missing and that made it impossible to install. There was no option to send for the missing piece so I had to send the whole thing back, wait for a refund, and then buy it again.The second one was easy enough to install but within two weeks the soft close on the lid had stopped working. It still works on the seat but that one alone isn't strong enough to softly close them both so it slams down.Finally, this is a wooden seat coated in plastic and the plastic coating has also started to peel away so this thing won't even last a year before the wood gets damp and starts to rot.This is a poor quality product and hugely overpriced for what it is. Look elsewhere.

Und nein, so oft waren wir in dem Monat nicht auf dem Klo.Da hätte man sich die 15 Euro gleich sparen können und einen Sitz ohne Automatik kaufen können!Update 17.06.24Den Verkäufer angeschrieben und den Mangel beschrieben. Umgehende Antwort mit Entschuldigung und Zusendung neuer Scharniere. Nach Umbau funktioniert die Absenkautomatik wieder bestens. Wie lange, wird die Zeit zeigen.Einen Stern rauf für den schnellen, freundlichen Kundendienst.Den fünften Stern gibt es wenn die Absenkautomatik diesmal hält, was der Verkäufer verspricht.Update 14.10.24Absenkautomatik funktioniert immer noch einwandfrei. Weit besser und einfacher von der Montagekonstruktion her als Wenko, wer da Entscheidungsprobleme markentechnisch hat, weil preislich tun die sich ja nix. Sieht auch genauso aus wie auf der Abbildung. Stabil, kein leichtes Plastik. Kann ich empfehlen.
