Exactly what it's supposed to be and meant for
This review is for the Nitecore MH12 V2. This is not a 2000 3000 lumin multi led power house, it never sent out to be. There are many of those available, but they are different.Pros -USB-C ChargingTacticle "butt" button, mode select "normal" side light buttonSmall, belt clip, battery tech (21700 5000mah cells), build quailtyMehUSB C charging rubber flapConsidk price, but it is very competitively priced and on the low end sideSuggestions/thoughtsMoonlight mode 1 lumin could be maybe 5. Or, low could be 15-25 lumin. Id favor the moonlight a tad more.I use this as a EDC (every day carry), using the belt clip, and keep it in my pocket with the clip holding if butt up. Upgraded from my milwaukee rover light. I do HVAC service, and plenty of odd side jobs, and use this daily/hourly. I mainly use it on low, which isnt to bright but i could easily be ok with half the light output at low. Moonlight is very dim (which it was designed for) but to dim to be useful. I wish moonlight was higher. Low is to much/overkill for tight small spaces, medium is perfect for medium sized or small room, high is great for area lighting. Turbo is really useful to read house numbers at night and will easily light up a decent city backyard even.Battery life has been beyond great. It doesnt really easily show you percent or life left, but ive used it over a week now (mainly on low) and according to indicator flashes have 75%~ left. Initially charged in 90 min, reviews on it say 2-2.5 hr to fully charge. Will be picking up another battery or two just in case/easily swap out in emergencies/when I dont charge it and it dies. Trying to figure out if i want to just buy a battery ($25), buy another light with 2 included (perhaps a second identical or the normal flashlight style higher output), or perhaps buy a cheaper now 18650 light and use the included adapter to run those batteries.I havent tested the waterproof-ness yet, but will update if I run into any issues with that.I like this style over the olight or ferex. Non-propriatary battery, back tacticle on/off momentary half hold, mode selection is pressing mode button not holding it to cycle through (big difference between other brands). Price vs the olight was also the final favor for this. I used Nitecore fast charger for my camera batteries, and no issues at all. So brand was familiar. I like the olight charging, but would need multiple propriatory chargers/batteries. But usbc is what sold me over micro on the 18650 flashlights (im cheap and dont care about battery life much), I have usbc cables for everything i own already, and thats what sold me.

The one you want.
The media could not be loaded. If your reading this, and anything like me, your in the market for a new EDC light. But you only need one, and if your going to pay the high dollar price of a high end light you want it to be the right one. I think you’ve found it.The main selling points here for me were;Reliable non proprietary battery typeCommon non proprietary USB-C chargingDual buttons, meaning the tail switch is on/off to last setting. No cycling every use.Price is lower than comparable lumen product from other big names, that use proprietary. My light functions well, is more than bright enough and seems well made. I expect it to last me years.I did pick up the aftermarket tail cap, it should come stock but is worth the extra money.Nitecore NTC2 U-Shape Tailcap... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09PGTXQGP?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Holster sucks
Great flashlight super bright. The downside is the holster sucks and is super flimsy.

Great light.
Brought for a truck driver friend. He says it's great. I did a lot of research - he loves the simplicity and the combination of the side button to switch modes and rear toggle for on/off. Very well constructed and 1" diameter beats the rest. Can't comment on battery life yet but like the fact that it accepts other common battery option. Plenty bright and from what I can tell other more powerful options get too hot and can't be used in full bright for very long.

Great light
It’s great. The light modes can be weird cycling through them but there is a last mode used memory and my favorite the “firefly” low mode. It’s a bit large for edc pocket carry but I have used it as such. -1 star because I think it’s too expensive. Nitcore is a decent brand but it’s not on the same level as premium lights, yet costs more. I.e. streamlight, surefire. Even olight if I may be so bold. Still it’s a nice light and offers a lot in a reasonable size and a year later does not seem to have missed a step. Buy with confidence but shop around for a good price. Scamazon is over priced I have found, particularly when it comes to optics, lights, or anything the Chinese companies might label as “tactical”. It’s a light. It’s tactical if you use it tactically. Not because you paid an extra $$

Residential service plumber
Pros: For battery life 4hrs on high brightness still has me saying wow everytime I turn it on! Freaking tiny thing I carry it inside my waistband sometimes.Cons: hard to work on a job alone without someone to hold the light, sometimes you can get it to hang on something though.2- this thing gets wicked hot at the end of it! Nearly burned a hole through my sheets in 30sec.Overall I think this is the best flashlight on the market

Excellent linens for the size
Replaces my old tactical light. Law enforcement lights need to perform well, be easy to handle, and be easily recharged. This one does all three.
