Must Have Slender Build And Slight Shoulders To Use It
May 20, 2016Disclosure=> I received the Dr. Wilson's Posture-Support Back Brace with Breathable Straps (Small) for free from the seller, in return for a fair and HONEST review. Also, please note that I ordered this product through my husband's account, as he's currently the one with access to Amazon Prime membership.-----Why I Ordered This Product=>I have a lot of neck and shoulder pain that I am certain is posture-related, especially as I spend a good portion of the day in an office chair. I thought that having something that can help remind me to practice good posture might be a good idea.-----What I'm Looking For, In Products, Like This=>This isn't meant as a long-term fix. Rather, I'm looking for something to serve as a trainer, showing me what good posture looks and feels like, on me, then reminding me to assume good posture, throughout the day. I figured this would be something I'd wear, everyday, for one to three months, until my body gets the idea, and I'm familiar enough with the posture to assume it, automatically, even without the brace.-----How This Product Meets My Needs=>The description for this product says the following: " Designed for men and women. One size fits most. FDA approved." This is true, as long as the people who fit the "most" description have a slender build and slight shoulders. I'll admit that I'm overweight, to the point of being obese, and my shoulders are broader than an average woman's, even when my weight was healthy, but I can't even see this fitting my average-sized friends and family members, who may not be runway models, but they're also at a healthy weight. So, because I can't even put this product on, I have to say that it does not fit my needs.-----Final Rating=>The product can't fit me, and I have doubts as to whether it will fit average-sized friends and family members. As such, since it can't even be in a position to do what it is meant to do, I have to, sadly, give this product a rating of one star out of five. I really hate having to give out one-star ratings. I would offer the suggestion to the company that it moves away from "one size fits most" towards offering varying sizes of the product, in order for the product to be more effective.-----Summary (Pros):1) If you have a slender build and slight shoulders, this could possibly work, for youSummary (Cons):1) I'm not sure if this fits even normal-sized people2) It certainly doesn't fit me

Wrong item picture & does NOT fit an average guy
I ordered this device to help with my shoulder posture (slumping forward somewhat). The device was free shipping but took awhile (1.5 weeks) to get here (I ordered it around Thanksgiving, so that may have contributed). Up on arrival I had to figure what I think was the proper way to where it. There are no directions or 'real pictures' of the device and how it is to be fitted in the package. I tried it on once an determined the fit was completely wrong. I am 5'11" and 40" chest, so fairly average for guy. The stitching started to come out on the cross straps on the back and I was not able to attach the velcro myself in the front of my chest because the loose pieces were hanging in the middle of my back away from arms reach. I did feel the item trying to correct my posture, but at the expense of significant comfort. The straps go under your arm pits and are very tight. The strap that goes around my chest attached below my chest. None of these were going to allow my to wear this longterm even with toughing out the discomfort. The item did not fit AT ALL like the picture. The vendor was very bad at responding which caused me to file a claim with Amazon. I informed them the product was defective after trying it on once, but they said they would only return it if the package was unopened. Doesn't make sense! I would not buy this or recommend the vendor (seller).

WAY too small for adults of any size
MUCH too small - it works, don't get me wrong, but I can't wear it because it cuts off circulation and is painful. I want to emphasize that this isn't just inherit discomfort because I do understand that the brace must be tight - it's actively much too small for an adult. I can get away with it for a while but have to take it off after maybe 30 minutes when it begins to cause chest pains and red marks. The shoulder straps went on without issue, the problem is the part that reaches around to the front of your chest. It Velcros under the breasts if you're a woman.I am a petite woman, 5'3" 125lbs, and it hurt. I can't imagine it fitting anyone bigger. I would set it as loose as it would go without the Velcro pulling itself off, and it'd still be too tight. Perhaps with some velcro extenders it would fit. I measured and my chest is 31" right under the breasts, so if you're any bigger than that you probably can't get this on. The shoulder loops cut into my armpits sharply as well."Adjustable" in this case must mean between a baby and a tiny woman.I also notice that the 1st photo is the correct shape, but doesn't show any of the materials or seams. The shoulders are padded. It's stretchy, but not by a ton. The other pictures are more accurate. It does pull me into good posture - not too far back, not too far forward. When I got it by the way it came in a loose plastic bag with no labeling, box, or paper/manual. I'm worried it was used or came from somewhere creepy.

Too small for even moderate-sized arms
Unlike some of the other posture braces I've tried, this one really DOES keep your shoulders back and your upper back aligned. It works great in that regard, and I can see how, if it fit properly, it would be fantastic.I am not overweight, but I have a really physical hobby that means I have buff shoulders/upper arms for a girl. Even so, my arms are smaller than most men who work out even sometimes. Still, the arm and shoulder straps were so small that after an hour or so they cut off circulation and made my fingers start to go numb. They dig really hard into my armpits (they don't lay even remotely as shown in the pics).I feel like this would be a great product if the arm straps were adjustable, because it otherwise seems to work great.
