At last an art book with large, clear photographs. Without wishing to sound arrogant, there wasn’t really any method I haven’t tried, but I’ve been an abstract artist for years. So I’m surprised at how different some of the work appears. I shall keep this book by my side for inspiration, just flicking through the pages pleased me.If you want inspiration, guidance, advice, and the joy of seeing a fabulous artist’s work then buy this book. It stands way above all the other books on this subject, and I own a lot.Not one complaint. Whaaat? 🤓

Got it for myself as I enjoy painting. Love this book! It’s well written so easy to read. Different techniques inside with step by step instructions how to create such painting.

There are interesting projects to try but I would have liked to see a full size finished painting instead of just the thumbnails!

This book is a pleasure to lo look at and the text easy to read, and not too much of it. It's structure is in lesson showing different processes with what colours to use the results. I am always suspicious of this knowing of approach I visualise every reader producing similar works - however the works she has provided are very bright and colourful so I am sure the learning process will attract others.I picked up this bppk to see what it offers to a Gelli print artist, and there are ideas which I will use if not in the same way as she suggest - but this book prescriptive in it's end results. Nice little section on colour theory very simply explains and also collages. I think it might interest the non-painter who is interested in art as there is some explanation of what is in the artist's mind when achieving the end result. I have given 5 stars as it is good value for money given the quality of the production.

Good illustrations and projrects

I thought I had enough books on abstract art until I got this. The projects are fun and introduce you to lots of techniques you can then use in your own work. Instructions well written.

Not enough illustrated examples

This book goes steps further in methods to create individual and unique art. Sometimes a little hard to follow, but the information is all there to help us create individually in unusual ways. Pretty exciting!

I loved the book for many reasons. It is very well written excellent photography and clear examples. Art is my passion and this is worthy of a spot on my shelves.
