The best leather steering wheel cover on the market!
This is the second leather steering wheel cover that I bought from the same seller. The first one is for a VW passat. This current one I've just bought is for my 2017 Ford Explorer Sport. The seller: This seller is very helpful. She speaks very good English in our email correspondence. At the beginning, I wasn't sure if my will fit. The seller asked for multiple photos for my steering wheel to make sure it fits. This is a very helpful seller! The product: See the pictures. It fits my steering wheel perfectly. The product is well packaged and the shipping took about 2 weeks to arrive from China to the US (I live in Michigan). The leather feels much better than the original Ford leather, which is hard and rough. The leather is very smooth and refined. It is very similar to the leather material on a Lexus or a Cadillac.Within the package, included are the leather steering wheel cover, 2 rolls of thread, a needle, a plastic trim tool, double sided tape, and instructions. I did not use the tape and I do not recommend using it. It is unnecessary and makes the process more complicated. In case you need to remove the cover, the tape will leave a mess. The trimming tool is probably the most useful one. It is well designed made of high quality durable plastic. The installation: The whole process took my 2.5 hours. Keep it in mind that I have previous installation experience on my Passat. If you are doing it for the first time, prepare a time frame for at least have a day (4 hours) without other commitment to use the vehicle as you cannot drive it in the middle of the installation. The most tricky part is the tucking. To install properly, you need to tuck the edge into the trim (at 3, 6, 9 o'clock positions) in both the front and the back of the steering wheel. Be patient and do it slowly. If I can make it (see the photo), you can do it too. After tucking comes the stitching. I did not use the stitching method by the instruction. Instead, I used baseball stitching (just google it). The instruction stitching is good, but I prefer the baseball stitching which is way they stitched the stock leather steering wheels on most cars. I used my own waxed thread, although the attached thread is good quality (not waxed). If you follow the instructions, you don't need waxed thread. In sum: This is a great product from a great seller. If you are not sure if yours will fit, just contact them and send them a picture of your wheel. They will walk it through with you.
