Got this today and baked a pan of cornbread. While I like the “just add water” aspect (I used 1% milk), it wasn't as tasty as the Jiffy cornbread muffin mix. I used a 9” cake pan as opposed to the 8x8 pan called for in the cooking instructions. As another reviewer said, it does turn out to be cake-like. I noticed it did rise slightly higher than the Jiffy mix. The MC cornbread just didn't have the taste of the Jiffy, even though the taste was okay. The Jiffy mix is for muffins, but I’ve always used it to make a regular pan of cornbread, adding an egg and milk per the cooking instructions. Think I'll be sticking with Jiffy, or making my own from scratch.

This is without a doubt the easiest to prepare, and the most moist flavorful out of the box corn muffin/cornbread mix that there is. Add water mix bake game over

I am a kitchen disaster but even I was able to make this. Just add 1-1/2 cups of water and bake at required temp for required time. These really taste great. I will probably buy more.

Totally displeased with this product. It may have been stale.

Love the cornbread this makes. They stopped selling the mix at our grocery store and I was thrilled when I found it for sale thru Amazon. I thought I was getting 5 or 6 packets of the mix. It sold for $9.99. When it arrived, it was only 1 packet of mix! One packet only makes an 8" x 8" square pan. Are you serious??? I feel completely duped!
