Beautiful Story that will appeal to young and adult readers.
This is the true story of the "Frog Prince". Often misrepresented and mentioned out of context and incorrectly in flippant conversations, most in this country do not know the actual story and would benefit from reading it in this uniquely classic yet comic book format. It is a sensitive story with important messages presented beautifully and should appeal to both young and grown up readers, as they have for decades. This particular story is one I grew up with, first listening to it as a bedtime story read to me by my own mother, and later as a favourite tale I read multiple times from the age pf 4 onwards! This series of comic books have laid the foundations for the reading and writing interests in the Classics for thousands of children. The stories are beautiful, "clean" (nothing inappropriate), true to the original subject matter, and beautifully illustrated! I recommend these highly and without reservation.

Delightful teamwork for my son and me
I think this "We Both Read" series is great. Whatever mood my boy is in when bedtime rolls around - whether he's working with me or against me - this concept works. I read the (difficult) left page in each two page spread, and the child reads the (easy) right. Teamwork. And even though these make no mention of Power Rangers or Batman Beyond, these are my boy's favorites. Along with some math books from Singapore(sgbox.com), and a learn-to-read series called "Now I'm Reading" by Nora Gaydos, these books are a great experience for your child. After your child has finished reading and they climb in bed, give your child something to strive for... turn on your booklight, turn off the room lights, and read your child a chapter or two from a more advanced book. Treasure Island, Harry Potter, anything by Roald Dahl... That's what works for my boys and I.

Great book for young 3-5 year old readers.
This is how I taught both my girls how to read before Kindergarten. Every night we would read one of these "We Both Read" books, and they would read their little part and I would read mine. Reading in context is so much easier then doing boring sight words. Both my daughters had the highest reading level in their Kindergarten classes and I know it was partially because of reading these books every night.

great reading with child
This book is a great opportunity to read to your child and allows you to model for them the flow of reading. You read one page then your child reads the next page. My son went from reading without expression to reading with a flow and expression after reading this with me. Hopefully after reading this book and other like it he will start to mirror the expression without me. LOVE THIS BOOK!

The Frog prince was okay!
I liked it, but not the version I was looking for. This one still seems wordy, but is better than the other books out there. The Illustrator did a good job telling the story through art.

The frog was never more interesting
Illustrator Sybille Schenker has created another wonderful graphic storybook. This is her third Brothers Grimm book and uses plastic pages with a gold, silver and black ink with other paper pages printed with black and gold. Like the other books, the title is laser cut out of the cover (obviously fragile so the book has a clear plastic jacket). It's the book's production that makes the story come alive for me. The illustrations printed on the plastic pages and gold type on the paper pages give this traditional story a contemporary feel. Graphic designers will love it.Schenker's previous Brothers Grimm books include Hansel and Gretel (2011) printed with some pages using tracing paper, Little Red Riding Hood (2014) used laser cut shapes on several pages. Her three books are a joy to look through.

The Frog Prince
This is an enthralling translation of the well known story by the brothers Grimm. What refreshes this well repeated story and enlivens it are the beautiful and detailed illustrations, which captivated my 7 and 10 year old as well as myself. We spotted all sorts of interesting details hidden in the beautifully crafted pictures. As well as being an interesting read at home, it is also a valuable adddition to the range of resources used to teach aspects of the Literacy Strategy at Key Stage 2.A must for the lover of good quality picture books.
