It Appears to Work
I did notice a slight decrease in string algae. I am still just observing.

Exactly what I needed
This product is sold locally for about half again as much. When I had my Koi pond installed several years ago it came with a container of this stuff; I've used it, on occasion, when the pond needed extra care.

cleans water, rocks not as well.
Works well to clean the water, does not work as well to clean the rocks. What I like; safe for animals that drink from my pondless waterfall.

Too soon to tell
I have used the product once. It was easy to apply around the perimeter of the pond. I was a little taken aback when the water turned murkier than it had been, but has since cleared up.
