Q: Will this hold a 15" pot?

Dear customer, I am sorry but 15" pot wont go in this hanger. Maximum pot size can be inserted is 9".

Q: What is the maximum weight this can support?

It’s made of a thick rope. I weigh 210 lbs & I’m sure if I were to hang on it, it would hold me up. You are limited on the planter size to fit through the loops. You’ll probably get a 10 to 15 lb planter through it.
