Amazing I gained a little independence back
I have arthritis and have a hard time with opening things or Even just using a wrench tightening or loosening things so I bought this item hoping that it would at least help. This is the best investment I've made on any tool! The ratchet feature is awesome, I was trying to get a cap off of my gas line that is sealed on with some kind of heavy duty glue or whatever you want to call it. I put this tool on it gave it a little bit of muscle a little I have and that it just started coming right off and it's in an awkward position so any other tools f bbbvv VByou'd have to take it off put it on reposition it over and over This guy the ratchet feature is amazing because there's no way I would have been able to even stay in the position I was in to get to the gas line let alone the strength I'd have to use another tool because I tried before I bought this tool couldn't do it. I completely 100% purchasing this tool Even if you don't have a need for it right now I'd buy it put it in your toolbox but I guarantee you you'll use it for so many things.

The wrench arrived in pieces
My error - buying a generic wrench from the warehouse because anything from the A warehouse is a gamble. It came to my door in pieces - the screw that holds the jaw return spring and the spring cover to the wrench body were disassembled.Normally, that's not an issue, I can reassemble anything but not when the threads in the wrench body are stripped. I could fix that as well by packing the hole with JB metal weld, drilling a new pilot hole and rethreading but that's too much screwing around for my taste. If I picked this up at a garage sale for $3, it's worth the work but not for a $10 discount. Not deducting any points for the situation above and strictly rating the wrench itself, I gave it 3 stars. The wrench itself didn't really suit my eye and it's certainly not Ridgid quality. But I won't use it daily so I thought I'd cut a corner and go generic. Mistake - even if this wrench were intact I'd return it because it's sort of cheesy. So I packaged it up, returned this low budget defective wrench and I'll buy a Ridgid version. Hope that helps!

Absolutely amazing wrench
When I bought this it was simply to test out something and try it. I work in the petroleum industry and this thing is amazing... Absolutely love the ruggedness of it, the ease-of-use, the craftsmanship is all there and it doesn't take up a lot of room in the toolbox.

Versatile and Easy to Handle
I purchased this because I never seem to have the correct sized wrench when I need it. This tool adjusts to the size required and goes to work. I specifically purchased this tool to change out a stubborn shower head and it worked like a champ!

Heavy & Awkward
I'm sorry, I read the glowing reviews, so I bought it, but I don't like it. It's HEAVY (2 lbs.) and THICK. The teeth aren't particularly sharp. Good for heavy pipe and connector work, but just not well-suited for work around the house. I tried it for replacing seized hose bibs and attaching quick-release brass GHT couplings. Too klunky for this type of work. Under-sink plumbing -- no. Etc., etc. Just be careful that you match your anticipated work to the right wrench. There are lighter-weight, auto-adjusting, spring-loaded wrenches available that might be more suited to multiple applications around your house and garden and car. For instance, check out the ones made by Zenith Industries. Their 8" model is 12 oz.
