Highly recommended and you need one in your life.
This review is for the BV9800 pro (the one with the FLIR camera).Having moved from Doogee, 3 failed phones but built like nothing else to Blackview, I'm quite impressed this far. Just under 24hrs of ownership.Sadly no glass screen protector, that would have been awesome, and if fitted at the factory, would have been cool. But there is a plastic screen protector (now with little bubbles because I used the phone without putting the film protector on first. Although I did use an optical wipe, but have ordered a rear silicone case and glass protector)It would, for me, be hugely helpful, if the rugged phones , especially the non mainstream Chinese ones, come with a hard case cover, slide or flip for the front screen. So if it fall out if your pocket or hand, it won't land on the face and break.Got to say that both my Doogee S60 and S80 were very well protected, not the easiest things to put in small pockets and the S80 weighed 500grams ! 0.5kgSo my pocket now feels much lighter. The battery has dropped 25% in 4hrs heavy use, whereas my previous S80 would still be on 95% or more.Using the satnav and screen on, for an hour, the damn thing only hit 98% once in all those journeys, so I'm waiting to see how the BV9800 fairs.Good. FLIR. Signal reception, (much better than the Doogee S88 !), Screen is large, clear and easy to type with. The back has a grip texture so less likely to slip than my previous phone.Rear camera. 48mp ! (Using AI, note: open camera will only see 11.8mp, their limit is 22mp) just for easy comparison.Fingerprint reader is on the side, much smaller than previous phones, and seems to work much better than on the rear or front, for me.Loads of storage 128gb built in, and up to 256gb micro SD card. Sadly not a 2 SIM plus micro SD but hey, maybe in the future ?Came with headphones (3.5mm and it's one of the nice features for power saving, so you can have a backup when your main headphones run out )IR transmitter (a.k.a blaster)Bad or not so good.User interface being android 9 is quite a change from 7or8, so tip, get Nova Launcher if you don't want a cluttered screen with all your installed apps. Took me a while to figure that out.FLIR freezes for a moment every time I've used it, not sure why, but it does do what I've wanted so far.USB C socket cover: quite fiddly and feels thin like it will break in time.Haven't found the IR blaster app yet, but there's a lot in here !The BV help app, and FLIR help : takes you to the Blackview website, but you have to register before being able to see the help.Come on, at least make it visible, maybe login to post, that would be very useful.Night camera app : no, there isn't one, but can't get on to the help to find out what's needed.I suspect it may be a separate module or device, like their endoscope camera.I've already got one of those, paid a fiver for, just haven't tried it yet !Summary. For the 369 I paid (it was on offer), fit a 6gb 128gb FLIR camera smartphone, you can't really get any better. Now do bear in mind, this is a less than 24 hour review (They put a free gift card in for writing a 5 star review (that's when they email you back. But I'd still give it 5 stars now. It works out of the box, there were no wireless updates, and it's doing what I need it to do.)You could spend much more on a brand name phone, but with a 2 year warranty, and Amazon's amazing customer service, you can't go wrong !

Great solid phone with loads of features for those who are good at breaking phones!
Very solid, good features and software. Fun to use the night vision camera. The only issue I had was that initially I had calls and good wifi connection but no mobile data. Going into forums about this I found that the access point details did not transfer for some reason, but transferring them manually (after checking what they were on another phone) fixed the problem. Now chuffed to bits with the phone. It is rugged and therefore heavy, but I have no doubt it is more likely to stand up to the punishment it will receive at my hands.

Works a treat.
Purchased for son, who is thrilled to bits with mobile. Its slightly bigger than his current Ulefone mobile, but with the case also bought from amazon, it seems to be a better option than buying another ulefone which has rubbery pieces that come away from the phone annoyingly. The screen size is super and clear, battery capacity is lasting really well, and wireless charger (amazon buy again) is a dream. The MyFLIR feature is unique and he feels it will come in handy in his outdoor work. Very pleased with purchases.

Good bit of kit
To me this is a brilliant piece of kit.Ideal for sourcing hot/cold spots in electrical cable/ equipment. Heating systems. See if someone has jumped out of wife's bed and is hiding in the wardrobe etc.Might take a while to get used to it, but worth it when you do.

Ruggedised phone with flir ir camera
Remarkable value. IR camera, ruggedised and waterproof. Great work phone. Battery life looks promising too, Two days and I haven't had to recharge it. Larger and heavier than my old phone, but not an issue. UPDATE disappointed that blackview did not provide any updates. Hardware is great, and is working fine, but I feel forced to change to a new phone. I'll still use this for the flir.

Second Blackview
This is my second Blackview mobile. My first one was dropped hundreds of times and I only replaced it after nearly two years as the battery life was going. My new one has been dropped a few times and is doing well. The battery life is great it last two days!

At last a decent budget phone
After having poor experiences with Oukitel ( very delicate screens that end up blank) and overheating Doogee ( ouch that's really hot) I finally tried a Black view. A few months in and I love it. No issues and really easy to use.

Great phone.
Had several Blackview phone since 2013. All great. My kids have them and they all last. The BV9800 Pro is perfect and so easy to live with. No worries or frustrations.
