A Suitable Replacement
For years, I struggled to keep my Weil Mclain hot water boiler functioning. It would quit during times when we needed it most. After many years of fighting to maintain it's unreliable functioning, I finally determined that the issue was the flame sensor that, because of its friction-fit wire inserted into the ceramic ferrule of the sensor, would lose signal because of temperature fluctuations causing the wire to back out of the ferrule. Then I finally found a suitable replacement for the sensor that employed a spade connector for the interface between the sensor and the wire. The SEN01114 SEN0491 Flame Sensor Replacement Part served the purpose and with a few minor bends in the flame sensor wire element it fits perfectly. The boiler has now operated reliably for the past four-heating seasons without once failing. In my research to locate a suitable replacement flame sensor, I learned that a lot of owners of the Weil McLain domestic hot water boiler had been experiencing similar reliability issues. I highly recommend the SEN01114 SEN0491 Flame Sensor Replacement.

All that matters is that IT WORKS
No heat Tuesday night. Watched a youtube video to troubleshoot. Ordered this flame sensor. Arrived overnight.IT WORKS. SUGGESTION: Gas Furnace parts that sit in intense heat CAN'T last forever. Flame sensors and Ignitors are not expensive. BUY EXTRAS. Keep them on-hand !!!

Right part for the job
Old sensor went bad and needed to replace it. Right part for the job. 5 minutes to swap out the old one and I was back in business.

Made from cheap stainless Steel
Pure garbage, the sensing wire is made from really cheap stainless steel wire. The OEM sensor is made from solid Nikrothal 80 which is a high temp corrosion resistant Nickel Chromium alloy rated for 2000 deg. F. You can check this by holding a magnet to it. Cheap stainless will stick to a magnet.... Nickel Chromium does not. This sensor won't last long by oxidizing and forming a rusty coating on the sensing surface in the flame.
