2013 two CD collection from the veteran Country/Pop superstar. Glen Campbell is the undisputed master of Pop-Country, one of the finest song interpreters of the past 60-odd years, not to mention a skilled guitarist and superb entertainer. Though he is a core Country artist, Campbell's music is too expansive to be limited to one genre. It has been his versions of Jimmy Webb songs 'By the Time I Get to Phoenix,' 'Wichita Lineman' and 'Galveston' that made Glen Campbell a household name around the world. He would seamlessly mix Country tunes, Pop classics, Folk songs, and Tin Pan Alley numbers utilizing similar arrangements for each and every one of them. He was Pop-Country crossover before the term had been coined, and in his own inimitable fashion, he introduced millions around the world to Country music.

Glen Campbell & other Dan Fogelburg musican's played 60's hottest stuff
This had the songs but not in their freshest original cleanest releases that is why you must carefully search outthe right recordings. Glenn was a power house and wict. lineman & Everyday housewife, Galveston, Phoenix, somuch of those were high energy powerful energetic songs....I had scoured out those right recordings and burned them on to one CD that my selfish mother took and I haven't been able to replicate it and this just sounded as nearly dead as my mother is now, and years of searching "I still haven't found What I'm looking for" I loved my mother dearly, so don't hate me for telling the truth but this collection could be magnificent if they found those Original Recordings and go through all his performances and re-master for CD's the fresh Bright summer sounds of GlennCampbell. I am a lover of all music a honky cracker who loves all great music SOUL, R&B, MOTOWN, SMOKIE,RUN-DMC, ALL OF IT....MY only regrets are for the groups who get pooped on when the (who I love) Dianna Ross's dumpor underpay their Supreme's who also seem to forget that generous people like Smokie Robinson put them on the map!!!@@Motown & beyond.

Very satisfied! I do remember watching the Glen Campbell Show ...
I saw the CNN special about Glen Campbell , "I'LL be me". I watched and listened to some music videos online of Glen's performances , Wow! I had no clue he was quite the Showman! Glen is over the top as a performer! I viewed the Sioux Falls , S.D. concert video with a full symphony orchestra backing him up , Wow again! I had to order this CD. Very satisfied! I do remember watching the Glen Campbell Show back in the late 60's , early 70's? Love Glen's version of "Don't pull your love / Then you can tell me goodbye" What a beautiful tune , learned it on my guitar , working on a few other of Glen's songs. Thank God we can enjoy real music , like Glen's , unlike some of this other stuff like Rap , Heavy Metal , etc.. I'm old school , I don't like today's artists!

Very nice Glen Campbell collection!
Like the Capitol collection 65-77, this is also a wonderful collection with nice audio. this disc has all or most of Glen's hits but includes more of his lesser known songs that were not included on the Capitol collection. as Glen's catalog is pretty extensive, the 2 sets mentioned are worth every penny. There was another nice 2 disc set which Razor & Tie put out years ago but unfortunately is now out of print , a little bit on the pricey side from sellers @ Amazon and E-bay. As with Capitol's collection, you won't be disappointed with this collection either. another wonderful listening experience!

emotionally charged
I'm finding that I'm renewing my enjoyment of Glen's voice and happy I ordered this one and it's even more enjoyable for me because he sings songs other than country. I recognized Sinatra songs and others and they are beautiful done by Glen. And so many songs. I loved every one and enjoyed them even more because I listened to them on Sony CD player with Sony headphones. Every instrument came out just like I was there in person listening and Glen's voice is spectacular. I will listen to this often.

To bad for them
I was born in '60 and had very young parents, they were 17 and 19 when I was born. To bad for them :) but for me, I was exposed to some pretty cool music, and Glen Campbell is no exception. This double CD is crammed with so many of his greatest hits. This "collection" is great on a couple of levels, the songs are all there, bringing back memories of that time period. Also, if you have any kind of sound system, the music is just awesome! There's no mention of it, but it sounds remastered. If you like any of Glen's music, this double CD is the one to get. Highly recommended!

Good good good
What can I say, it's Glen Campbell's best. For a CD, it's pretty good and it's nice to have a part of him now in my ears. There are other collections of his but for some reason Wichita Lineman sounds weird on the other collections, echo-y or overdubbed or something. I just wanted to hear Mr Campbell singing that song so soulfully, so longly, not with a lot of excess echo, wanted to hear Carol's bass line too.

Glen rules !.......
Hi there !! I'm not Glen Campbell ......but this is definately his very best on two outstanding disc. This set has pretty well all them there tunes that I've wanted but could never find in one place......well I'll be a possum in a pan , theyre all here. I'd give er 5 stars if the cover were a bit more purdy. Well worth the price.

Very happy with the product itself
Very happy with the product itself. Mint, new, in shrink wrap, but received with a small hair line crack in the case. Nothing to get upset about. Maybe needed better protection for shipping. Still very pleased with the CD!!! Thank you.

All the essentials
Some years ago, I bought the British double CDÂ The Capitol Years - 65/77 . It was exactly what I wanted at the time, but I knew there were some important American hits that were missing because they hadn't made any impact in Britain. I earmarked a suitable compilation, but it is now out of print - however, this one may be even better. Here, you'll find all the essential American pop and country hits as well as other desirable tracks that didn't chart. The booklet notes give a reasonable summary of Glen's career but forget to mention that he was for a time a musician with Phil Spector's Wall of Sound.I was particularly pleased to find that the tracks here include I wanna live (the least famous of Glen's five #1 country hits), Manhattan Kansas and the duets Something' bout you baby I like (with Rita Coolidge) and the two with Tanya Tucker (Dream lover, Why don't we just sleep on it tonight).Overall, this is an excellent collection of Glen's hits, though you might want to compare it with the earlier double CD I mentioned before committing yourself to one or the other - or you might want to buy both as I have. The Capitol Years - 65/77
