Easy to use but will still leak

This thing is awesome 👍. It fits my Hayward skimmer like a glove. No water.... absolutely not a drop gets by this thing.....I didn't drain any water out of our pool....I plugged the return and applied this bad boy to the skimmer and BAM ! see ya in the spring! Everyone needs one! Just like the Thneed! Lol

I bought this to seal off the skimmer for the winter, keeping water out of the skimmer assembly and ending the risk of ice cracking something. Installing it seemed easy enough and it fits in tightly, but it doesn’t seal it off completely. After a few days the water level rises inside and it negates the point of using it.

Easy to install

This product works as advertised. I am going to cut 1/4" vertical slits in it allowing the water to flow through it during the winter, keeping out the leaves that constantly clog the basket in the fall.

First use so waiting to see results in spring. Was a good fit

Purchased skimmer plug to seal off skimmer to epoxy crack in the bottom. Saved me from lowering pool water. Not a drop came through. Now that I have the plug I certainly will use it to close the pool along with the gizmo. Works perfect 10 stars.
