Badia Nutmeg Whole, 16 oz – Ideal for Baking, Cooking Sweet & Savory Dishes, Aromatic & Flavorful Spice

We enjoy all of the Badia spices that we have tried and this nutmeg is no exception. Very fresh and flavorful.

If you use a lot of nutmeg in baking or cooking, this is probably the best way to purchase whole nutmeg for the freshest spice. Typically, ground nutmeg in small jars runs about $5 for a couple of ounces, so there's huge savings here. I use a Microplane zester to finely grate fresh nutmeg for recipes, most of which call for 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon of spice, so it takes just a minute to grate that much. Don't know how much baking or cooking you do, but this supply of whole nutmeg will last me at least two-three years, maybe longer.Compared to other whole nutmeg items for sale here on Amazon.com, these are by far the best value. They are excellent quality nuts and very flavorful. You won't be disappointed!

Very pleased with my whole nutmeg. Nice big fresh nuts. I grind one every day for my "Turmeric Golden Milk" which is a hot drink that I make with one can full-fat coconut milk, turmeric, black pepper, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and vanilla extract. Cooking all powders together in a saucepan; adding vanilla as the concoction is cooling down. (A person can use any sweetener, but I do not.) Makes a paste that lasts a month in the refrigerator in a glass jar. Use one big tablespoon in a cup of hot almond milk daily to reduce inflammation caused by stress. It is just a great way to start my day.

Good price but not sure the Nutmeg is a s ripe as it could be. They are all rather small.

Like purchasing in a large quantity, and grating on foods for healthy benefits.

Reviewed: Nov 02, 2024, Badia nutmeg, 16ozI was down to my last nutmeg bag to grind for egg nog.The ones I previously purchased have a very robust flavor. Sadly, they were discontinued which is why I tried these out.They are average in color and appearance, like any other nutmeg.I popped out my grinder and used it for 2 of them.Their smell is phenomenal, but the flavor is on the mild side of nutmeg in my opinion.I had to almost triple the amount I use in the cup of egg nog of this nutmeg, to achieve the same results I do with my other one.Which is weird considering my other brand I bought in bulk is almost 9 years old.They should store for many years and remain fresh. I'll use them in my coffee I guess.Most of the nutmeg are about a 1/2"-3/4" each in size.I'll keep looking for a brand to replace the ones I really love.
