No chime volume control.
Description on Amazon says clock has chi.e volume control. Per Howard Miller customer service, it does not. Very loud chime. Beautiful clock but made out of plastic, but looks like wood.

Arrived broken
Seller doesn't understand the proper packaging for shipping such delicate and precise instrument. Fully assembled clock was put in a flimsy carboard box with minimum internal securing. All glass panels arrived broken. Who knows how the pendulum would function since it was attached to fully assembled clock as well.

Great gift!
I gave this as a gift and the recipient loves it. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to shut off at night but for the price point, it’s a great clock and looks lovely.
