THETFORD Porta POTTI 565E Curve 4/5.5G

This is set up in my sprinter camper/moto van. I have used the potty several times as well as my son and wife. It sure beats a port a John and the emptying is really not difficult or too gross. The cassette design is nice and it holds a surprising amount of clean water to flush. The built in TP holder is fantastic. I would highly recommend this if you are looking for a portable potty.

This is truly the best of the best in its class. Very high quality and durable. The flush is good, and the bowl cleans well. I have owned cheaper versions of this cassette style toilet, and I have had complaints about them all. You can’t go wrong with this one.

when our existing Thetford toilet began giving us some problems recently, we knew what item would replace it ... THE EXACT SAME MODEL. Our prior camp toilet had been in use for nearly 10 years.We like the seat height, we like the ease of "flush" ... and the ease of emptying the tank. And our camper does not need a "black water" tank, only gray water for shower and sink.This is so much simpler. We love this Thetford camp toilet.

I did like it. Please include instructions about how to secure the mechanism that opens and closes the flush hole. Want to make sure it’s secure before dumping. Otherwise, loved it. Just needed instructions on how to secure before carrying & how to carry it. Can you carry it like a suitcase by handle? I saw person on internet do this. Is this correct or would this put too much pressure on the flush hole? Would love to have just better instructions on this.Otherwise you will love this. It’s very comfortable and sturdy. It’s a lovely portable potty. It was very comfortable for male and female. Loved it.

Don’t buy the electric one. This hand pump is far superior. My electric one twice has stayed on and pumped all the flush water overflowing creating a mess.

We have been using this for our guest room for over a month now. I learned that you should not leave the trap closed while using it. Just close the flap after. When our guest let fluid build up in the bowl it would seep out between the 2 chambers then I has doing a major cleaning. Easy fix to open when using and no more problem. Always remove the toilet paper before dumping and cleaning the lower chamber. When I hosed the unit down I got toilet paper wet - duh. We have septic so I cut a 4” pvc pipe to bring the opening up to ground level so no more spillage. Also turning the discharge pipe to the corner instead of straight back gave me more control when dumping contents. I feel this was a great buy to help a physically challenged person and is a good height from the floor to seat level.

100% perfect for a small cabin on the woods no odor and very comfortable great having the electric pump.
