Why does one picture say ipx6 and below in the description it says ip68? is it ipx6 or ipx8?

I don't know, maybe a scrpt error

What are the hxlxw dimensions for the 40l bag?

I do not know as I sent it back. Not waterproof.

Are there any photos of the inner organization compartments?

no inner comparment, just a bag

Is the interior cushioned? Can it be used for camera equipment. Are there compartments? No interior pics

There are no interior compartments and cushioned. I am a photographer, and I don’t recommend just putting the camera into this bag. Personal opinion is this bag is great for hiking, traveling, and going to places that might get wet. But I don’t recommend using it as a camera bag unless you have a separate camera bag that can fit into this travel bag.
