Warm Things Quilted Down Robe

Beautiful blueberry (not navy) color. Very warm robe.Sizing: According to my dress size (12-14), I should wear a Medium, but I like my robes to be big enough to wear heavy PJs under them, and to wrap around me with a big overlap so my legs are fully covered when I'm seated. I ordered an X-Large. It fits just as I wanted it to. My daughter, an X-Small, did the same thing & ordered a Medium. We're both very pleased with the robes.UPDATE: My robe washed beautifully, but it DID shrink several inches both in length & in width. I was aware of this from other reviews & I purchased it large enough to allow for shrinkage. It went from an X-Large to a Large in size.

I had one of these many years ago. Wore it for many years, through many washings. I actually think that this new one is puffier, with more down stuffing than my old one. I bought the XS (I am 5'3" AND 110 pounds) and had my fingers crossed because usually even size XS things are big on me. The top fits very well. The bottom is very full and actually feels a little cumbersome when you are walking. There is a lot of material and down in the skirt of this robe. Probably would work better for a larger person than it does for me. But when you are sitting it is fine. This robe has 550 down and is rather heavy -- weighs a lot more than my North Face coat (but that is not full length to the ankles like this robe). It is very, very warm, much warmer than by LLBean fleece robe -- which is quite warm! I will wear the down robe in the evenings, when I can spend some time sitting and reading. I think it is a little cumbersome for wearing when you are moving around in the kitchen.I ordered this in the Burgundy color, which as others have noted is not a deep wine but more of a russet rose: like the photo, but not quite as saturated. I usually buy only white, black, grey, and was tempted by the cream but I knew I would be afraid to wear it. The rose color is very soothing, not too bright, and I am glad I made an exception to my no-color policy for this robe. I would love to see this offered in a deep bitter chocolate brown. The fabric is matte and has a great hand. Have not noticed any feathers leaking.Would highly recommend if you want a seriously warm robe.

What a great robe! I run out in my robe early in the morning to walk our new puppy and open the door on the chicken coop, then I pop back in bed. I use to get such a chill, but now with this cozy robe, I stay warm. It is very quality made and looks very nice, not bulky. I am 5'5" and I bought a medium so I could wear it over sweats if I wanted. A small would have been a more "tidy" fit and worked well, but I like the extra room in the medium I ordered. It falls right to my upper ankles so my legs stay warm (so many robes are short lengths:(. I have not washed it, but plan to have it dry cleaned when summer starts. Had it for two months now and it is like new.

We sent this down robe to our sister recovering from surgery. She reported it is cheering as a bear hug and quite warm; also the red is deep and vibrant, and it even arrived earlier than the dates posted. If you know anyone who needs a little extra warmth. padding, and--let's just say it--luxury, this down bathrobe is destined to be theirs.

Bought this for my wife for Christmas and the other 3 star reviewer is right, it leaks. Not badly but steadily, at least, so far. My experience is that all down products leak a little at first but this seems more than what I'd consider normal. It is especially noticeable in the areas that take weight, like the shoulders.But she says it is very warm. Another issue is the length. I bought her a small (she is 5 foot 3) she struggles to go up stairs because it is kind of long. We'll see after the first dry cleaning if that changes.I'll update: it has almost stopped leaking, so I'll up it to 4 stars. Outstanding robe, at least for your heating bill.2010 update: third winter and the thing looks nearly like the day it was bought. Has been dry cleaned a couple of times, no leakage whatsoever now. Just upped it to 5 stars. My wife loved it during the freezing weather we were just through. In the mid teens, no power for days, struggled to keep the house warm.Kind of made me wish I had one.2012 update, still going strong. For the price, I just don't think you can beat this.2013 update, STILL going strong. Winter is winding down and we are off to the warm. She has worn it every winter morning for 6 years.2014 update. Just returned from Palm Springs, this is the first thing my wife put on when she changed out of her traveling clothes.Pretty amazing.And the 2016 update, I just contacted the seller to get a replacement. Hers is starting to look a little worn. Not bad, very wearable but a little worn out.

I'm a big fan of down and had wanted a down robe for years but always assumed they'd be big, bulky, and make me look like 2-ton tessie. Not so!! This robe is not only very warm, it's also breathable, really comfortable, and also attractive. My old man used to call my last warm robe (fleece) 'man-repellant'. That one is now in the salvation army box and has been replaced with this one -- warmer, more comfortable, and not man-replellant. True to size.. For me, that means roomy, as I hate constricting clothes. I wear a size 14 and bought a size medium, as recommended by their size chart. Fits great and I wouldn't want it any bigger. Great price during the summer sale.

I couldn't believe the feeling of warmth and comfort that came over me as soon I as put on this beautiful down robe.The fit is excellent and the finish is luxurious, with no "leaking" of the down -- and the cotton fabric is very smooth to the touch -- like you're living in the lap of luxury. The low price made this an excellent purchase -- my order arrived promptly and in excellent condition. UPDATE: 7/13/14 : Season after season, this warm, luxurious robe keeps me more comfortable than any down robe I've ever had. I see they don't have my size any more -- or my dark blue color, either. Shucks !!
