Except Ocalan is much more sweeping than Marx, he takes the philosophical, political, and social dynamics of the history of modern humanity, and brings it down into a 200 page book. This is a man who is primarily concerned with the freedom of human beings, and our capacity to create and love one another. The effects of global capital, political power, patriarchy, and exploitation are a direct threat to the meaning of out lives. Ocalan does more in isolation than any scholar does with the worlds best research faculties. This books is vast in content, multidisciplinary in method, and nuanced in it's critiques and propositions.
