Must have tool
I am a telecom tech who has been installing 5G equipment equipment. I was looking for a tool that would more easily remove the insulation on our various gauge wire prior to termination. This is the tool. I like the grip. I like that it closes with a hasp so it doesn’t open in your toolbox. So far it is staying sharp. I have been avoiding cutting steel stranded cable as that will effect the blades longevity. All in all a great tool.

Nice tool for light/medium communications cable.
I bought these specifically for cutting coaxial cables such as RG174, RG316, RG58, and RG59. For that purpose, these cutters are excellent. They should work fine for lighter multi-conductor cables as well. If you need cutters for heavier cables and things like 12 gauge power cords, you should probably go with a pair of forged clam shell cutters like the Klein model J63050. Just as I wouldn't use these to cut a 10 gauge power cord, I wouldn't use the model J63050 to cut RG174 coax.

would not reccomend for rg6
Bought these for cutting rg6 cable, advertised for rg6 cable, cannot recommend for rg6 cable. First time i sed them and theres already a dent in them, i think these could be suitable for stranded cable but they are two soft for anything like this. So to cablr techs just stick with your diagonal cutters it will save you a lot of time
