Holds a broom just fine
It is a bit difficult to push in and pull out the broom. This is good if you have curious kids, difficult if you have arthritis and can be taxing on the little screws if not screwed into a solid wood surface.

smaller diameter items do not grip strongly. some of the other brands grip both the smaller and larger items [mop, shovel] better
