Mesa Safe Company MBF2020C: Burglary & Fire Safe

So far so good. My only complaint would be that the box arrived with no bottom thus leaving the combination exposed to whomever simply chose to lift the top off the box and look at the combination as it was floating in transit all the way across the country. The safe itself is quite stable and attractive. Certainly will serve it's purpose for keeping valuables safe from contractors running about your home, housekeepers etc.

Overall, I think the safe is a good value. It is well constructed and solid. It did arrive with two deep scratches on one side, but I decided that this was not worth trying to return it. My primary deficiency with the safe concerns the combination lock. The lock squeaks while turning the combination. I called Mesa Safe and was told to spray some lithium grease in the crack around the dial. This did not fix the problem. It still squeaks. This safe is made in China. So, I must assume that the combination lock is a lower quality lock than the ones you may find on some of the safes made in the USA. When considering this safe, you may want to consider another brand or a safe made in the USA, which will cost you more money. However, it may be well worth the difference. The shipping damage and the poor quality combination lock justified my rating of 3 stars.

Very sturdy safe. Great size as well. Combination takes some practice but is reliable. Size and weight make it a good home choice. It will not be carried off easily.

It was exactly what I wanted. I know the digital push buttons are easier, but then you also have to have batteries. I wanted something to put away and not think about until I needed something that was in it. This is roomy enough to fit my laptop and my important papers. Perfect.

Love this safe. It's so so heavy, thanks for the fast and free delivery from Amazon. If to buy from the store, I'd have to pay extra for delivery cost. The size is just about right to what I need for an office safe.

Awesome / we wanted something that wasn't biometric / shelves are felted / large dial / high quality safe / do yourself a favor and spend the extra money and get a Mesa safe / Way better than those other safes in $200-300 range / Would highly recommend

This safes locking mechanism is cheap and I was lucky to get it open once! After that I can't get it open after many tries and 2 other guys trying also.Now I have to deal with calling in to see if tech support can help. POC!
