Ultimate Adventurer Survival Kit Advanced Version

A good quality kit for a reasonable price. The items are not the highest quality, but they will do the job and the price reflects this. The only items I replaced in the kit were the pocket knife and the gel fuel pack. I replaced the junky pocket knife with a Victorinox Huntsman, about a $30 upgrade. The gel fuel got popped after I opened up and closed the kit a few times, likely because it is hard to repack the kit precisely the way it came from the factory. The kit covers the basics of survival, and will make a great car survival kit. The emergency blanket is quite nice, and is the Space brand blanket which is far superior to most of the garbage ones found in most emergency kits. There are lots of methods of fire starting included, with a book of matches, stormproof NATO matches, a fresnel lens, and the most robust ferrocerrium rod I've ever owned. Overall a great kit for the price.

How cool is this kit? Yes, you can (and should) assemble your own emergency kits - and I do - but this one really caught my attention so I decided to purchase it. And I’m glad I did. It’s actually a very high quality, compact kit. It even taught me a thing or two about improving some of my homemade ones. In the meantime, I added this kit to my aircraft and bought another one for my Jeep.

I have used other products from ASE, but I finally pulled the trigger on this one. As expected, it was outstanding. An abundance of items in a mess tin that fits in a coat pocket or pack. Dandy gear, as one would expect.

I've been looking at this kit for a while and decided to buy it. I was not disappointed.The size and weight of this kit is perfect for almost any bag. In my case, I actually carry it in my day bag/24hr bag.-It contains 3 ways to sterilize water (boiling vessel, purification powder, and filtration straw)-3 cutting tools-2 options for food procurement-3 options for fire starting-signaling and navigation optionsAnd much more.This kit does not have many competitors. I can think of one or two others that are comparable but they are also more expensive options.I'm happy with the quality of all the items except for the multi tool. At this price point you can't expect a Leatherman or Swiss army knife to be included.The kit is hard to put back together once it has been opened but if you take your time you can make it work.Overall, this is a kit that I feel like I can trust to help me get through a 24-72hr period of time where the basic needs of maintaining life are not conviniently accesible.

This has about everything you need to get by in an emergency situation. I added a mini-Bic lighter, Suunto Compass (A-30), and a bottle of Potable Aqua Tablets to make it better. It is in a bag with an Arcturus Heavy Duty Survival Blanket and rapid ridgeline and a quilted moving blanket in the wife's vehicle.

This is a great idea! It is pretty small box that can fit in almost any pack/glovebox. It provides a convenient and handy little location for basic survival supplies. With this kit and a little bit of know how, one could survive pretty decently. Add shelter and decent multitool with a good fixed blade (none of which will fit into the box) and you have a good kit!

This kit is great. I swapped the multitool for a Victorinox Swisschamp and added a few bits and bobs to make it my perfect mini kit but it is an excellent platform to build off of. Check out my review on my youtube channel (Dual Sport Survival) for more info
