Inks writes well, but you need a very smooth surface. Doesn't work too well on regular white paper.

The color is what I hoped for---cheerful, bright, luminous...and matches one of my pens perfectly. I was hoping to use this for grading and writing in my journal. But alas, it soon stopped writing. I pressed the nib harder and it resumes, but just a few minutes later clogs up again and so on. I know it isn't the pen because I have used the same pen extensively with Monteverde Red ink, writing through a whole huge stack of papers that I was grading, set the pen down for a few days and picked up again with no problem. I think it's safe to say the pen and nib are all good. So...it's the ink. Shame, because the color is truly beautiful. I should note that the pen I'm using has a truly fine nib that just lets a little ink through. Perhaps with a broader nib and more flow it wouldn't clog but unfortunately I bought it to use for my fine nib work.
