Ghosts of Boston: Haunts of the Hub (Haunted America)

One thing I like about this book is that to read about the ghost stories is also to get a history lesson. Reading this book you pick up tidbits of trivia while being entertained about the spirits of this historic location. I found this to be an interesting read.

Too much scientific or technical stuff and not enough history and stories! I read these books to relax and enjoy some spooky stories. I also love the history behind the stories. Not enough of either in this book.

Recently, I purchased the Ghosts of Boston by Sam Baltrusis. His accounts of the historical haunts from a journalist point of view were very thorough and well written. I really enjoyed learning about the history of some of Boston's best haunt spot and the personal interviews in the book gave it a very "real" feeling. As an avid reader of paranormal books, and magazines, I always look for the stories that are most informative and Sam gave just that. I'm looking forward to reading more of Sam's books in the future and hopefully visiting the city of Boston in future travels. This is a great read!

I've read a few books about Boston and surrounding areas I liked these stories because I've never heard about them I liked the history description and sources for doing your own research if you like.

It was poorly bound. All the pages were falling out. Ordered again, the second book was the same way.

Sam Baltrusis's book is an amazing piece of journalism, a thoroughly researched account of Boston's paranormal activities and history. He tells the ghostly stories with imaginative language; his file titles ("hex education" or "Shakespearian specter") for each different tale made for fun reading. Well written with excellent photographs and visuals of Boston!

Lots of fun to read. I found this on a BU online magazine. The author is a BU alumni . I will look for more from this author . Enjoyed the writing style.
