Not sure about the TC’s going through the lid seal. Very hard to control temp.I’ll call them to discussI would like to look at a digital readout of the cook but it doesn’t appear to be a feature with the DynaQ

Great unit. Had to call them on a connection issue and they answered right away and helped right away. Awesome customer service and an amazing product!!!

Caveat, I have only used this product once but ... so far, so good.

I bought this device intiallally beacause I was tired of inconsitant tempature when I was long smoking meats. I origanally was about to buy the Digi Q but opt for this due to bluetooth. The pro was that the fan control kept the pit at a constant tempature. Now the reason I am giving this a 4 out of 5 star is because the bluetooth range on the Dynaq is weak, around 15 feet. When i wanted to check the tempatures, I would have to be close because this lacks tempature screen on the device. I would have gave this product a 3 out of 5 star because of the BBQ Guru APP but that can always be updated and improved. The app does basic programs but it needs improvements. I say save some money and get the digi q,unless your grill is close by.EDIT: After using the digiq for 1 week,using it to smoke 4 times brisket. The machine just stopped working correctly, the bluetooth connection is so unreliable. It would take like 5 mins to connect to the machine and I am next to it. When i finally connect to the bluetooth, the app is a problem too. The tempatures would not refresh, I restarted my phone, dyna q , and tried to reconnect to machine and still doesnt refresh. I wasted money and should have stuck with the digiq but all i have now is a half fuctioning dynaq, and working pit viper fan. I aso kept the machine in good condtion, never dropped.

Works well. Powerful fan, get grill hot fast.

Stopped working the 2nd time I used it. Wasted a whole brisket.

We have had our DynaQ over a month now and it has been working flawlessly from the beginning. The ability to control a BBQ cooker's temperature far exceeds what is necessary for great barbecue. The Open Lid Detect feature works great at preventing temperature spikes after you open the lid to your cooker. The App is easy to use. All in all, this is a great budget entry level controller!

This is a very poor product. It must be managed through your phone or a tablet and the Bluetooth connection is horrible to manage Poor product. Poor value
