Awesome for use in a refrigerator/freezer.
I used these for replacements in a refrigerator/freezer. They are bright and perfect for such use. The old bulbs were 40w incandescent with clear glass and frequently melted plastic items that were nearby. The fridge side has two bulbs; one on top and one in middle of the compartment. The one in the middle of the compartment had melted and darkened the plastic cover. I bought a new cover and then looked for a LED replacement before installing the new cover. I didn't want to ruin a new cover using same old incandescent bulbs. These Bonlux LED's bulbs are smaller, definitely brighter, use less wattage, and do not get hot at all. We love these Daylight 6000K LED's. They make the fridge and freezer look cleaner (whiter) and well lit when compared to the Warm White output of the old 40w incandescent with clear glass that gave everything a slight yellow tint. These look great, work great, don't make any humming noise as someone else had posted, and are something I would buy again. They appear to be well built and are glass not plastic like many on Amazon that I looked at. If they last long, and I expect them to, then these are a great buy. Only issue; They ship from China and will take a couple weeks to arrive, even though they are shipped immediately. That wouldn't stop me from buying again, as they are great to use for what I was looking for.

Nice Bright White Light - Not Too Harsh On The Eyes.
I had been looking to purchase a LED bulb like this one from the local stores (including the Blue, and the Orange Big Box stores) but they did not have them. So I checked Amazon and found what I needed here. This 10W, 4000K bulb does give off a bright, white light, but not as harsh as the 6000K bulbs that am using elsewhere in the house. As long as you don't look directly at the bulb while it is lit, no problem. Even if you do catch a glimpse though, it is not all that bad on the eyes. I think it might take me a while to get used to it since this replaced a 60W, 2700K incandescent bulb that was not outputting enough light for my needs. The only other comment that I might have about its performance is that because the LEDs are positioned parallel to the screw-in base, the light is distributed primarily in an outward direction from the "sides" of the bulb. So if you have this bulb in an overhead lamp, pointed down as I do, you would likely not find it useful as a reading light if you sit below the fixture. Yes, it will project some light down, but directly below the fixture the light level is noticeably less. But for where I am using this bulb, that is not a big problem. At worst, there may be times where it is a mild inconvenience, but I have yet to find myself bemoaning that limitation.Overall, I love this LED bulb!

Great bulbs, but I had two issues with them
Update 2016-04-02: Given the severe blue color of these bulbs, I went ahead and ordered the 2700°K bulbs to replace the current 6000°K bulbs in the refrigerator compartment, so now I can comment better on the two colors. As I suspected might be the case, the 2700°K bulbs are too far down the yellow spectrum, and have a pretty dingy yellow color. Mixing the two bulbs helps, but it's pretty noticeable since they have such different colors. I've uploaded a photo of the two different colors to illustrate the difference. Left are the 6000°K bulbs, and right are the 2700°K bulbs.----These bulbs are a great price, and I'm happy with them, but there are two issues to consider before purchasing. For one — and I should have known this — I would prefer a more daylight color temperature for my bulbs, but 6000°K is really quite blue and fluorescent looking. In retrospect, I wish I had ordered the yellow bulbs (2700°K). However, 2700°K is also pretty far on the yellow end of the spectrum. Not quite bug light, but pretty yellow. Ideally, I'd like to see something around 4500°K color. Toward daylight, but not bluish. The second issue to be aware of is that the standard A15 incandescent bulbs I replaced have a shape where the glass is narrower toward the base end before they flare out to form the globe shape. These bulbs have the glass flaring out pretty much immediately from the metal base (see pictures). As a result, the glass contacted the fixture housing before the bottom made contact, so they wouldn't light. I ended up taking a Dremel tool to my fixtures to remove 2-3mm of plastic around the end. After that, the bulbs went in fine and worked great. I originally thought I'd received a bunch of duds, so this was a relief. I can't really fault the bulbs for this, as it's rather silly to have such a tight tolerance on the bulb shape. My refrigerator is a Sub-Zero, by the way.Bottom line: great bulbs, great price, but a few issues that keep them from five stars.

Very large and very bright
I was nervous to order a light bulb online. But it arrived in perfect condition. It's large and very bright. Works great in our single bulb light fixture. Modern and fun looking.

Giant bulb...bigger than a softball.
In Redding all the reviews, people were saying they use this in a refrigerator. This confuse me because the bulb I received is larger than a softball (like 5 yr old child big). Don't get me worng, it was a fantastic surprise that went terrifiy in my light! Just know that you are getting a huge light bulb. It gives off a great amount of light and is a nice soft color. I got the 2500K so it has a nice amber glow. I love. It. Will order it again!

Dead after 16 days
The previous bulb I purchased of this size only had one LED that I could find around 3 years back. It died on me after 2 years of use. It’s no longer carried on Amazon, so I went searching for another brand to fit this same size bulb. It died after 16 days of use. I like the style, but it’s dimming range is limited. It does not give off any light at the lowest setting. But after 16 day’s of use, I can not recommend this LED. The major selling point of LEDs is the potential for these single purchases to last for 10-20+ years. If this light couldn’t even last for 16 day’s, then I would seriously advise to stay away from this bulb and potentially even this brand.
