Just what I needed to protect my stools
I just finished a (IMO) beautiful kitchen rennovation complete with island bar seating. But the three stools I bought got damaged by my countertop within weeks! I bought this and literally installed it the same day it arrived to save my nice stools! The edge protector is soft, but not so soft it'll get cut or scraped by accident. Just right for protecting chairs. If you have sharp corners then the corner guards are good to have. My countertop has rounded corners (except for one spot) so I just bent the protector around them and it worked fine. The double-sided tape has a bright red sticker on it which makes it SO MUCH EASIER to attach accurately than other tape i've used. When installing, i suggest using a strip for both the outside and underside of the counter. You can just do the outside, but the guard will be less secure. Start at one end, and carefully stretch slightly and push into the tape. when you get to the other end, cut it to fit. Don't cut it first as the guard will stretch or shrink slightly during install. I spent a few minutes pushing the bubbles out of the tape with my fingers and you can barely see it now. It's perfect and already protecting my stools. 5* for sure and way cheaper than what it'll cost me to fix the finish on my stools - i should have bought this a while ago.

Will not go on perfectly straight
Think of it this way, Angle Iron gets its strength from the 90-degree angle in the metal that keeps it from bending. This edge guard has the same angle, yet it's rolled up for shipping. When you unroll it, it will have some kinks from the process. Also, the glue is not pre-applied to the guard. They include a roll of double-sided tape. Since I knew I wouldn't have enough product to cover the whole table and was leaving some small gaps, I applied the tape to the guard and not the table. I applied the guard to the glass as carefully as I could but it's not perfectly smooth and straight. It's not bad and any product of this type will have the same characteristics. It's just something to be aware of.

Looks good - IN MY TRASH CAN!!!
I tried my damest to make this work, but no matter what I did I could not get the paper to peel off the stick'em!!!I bought 2 packages of this edge protector to protect the edges on my new large desk. There is NO instructions that comes with it, just a roll of pads, corner caps and double sided stick'em. The package sit for a day before I attempted to installed it so everything was a consistent 70 degrees. I rolled the stick'em out on both edges and it stuck great, but I could not get the red backing tape to sperate from the stick'em. After numerous attempts with picking it with a exectro knife I finially was able to get it started, it peeled off 3 or 4 inches and then the red backing would pull the stickem and mess every thing up, skip to the other end the same, switch to the other edge it was the same. I did this for couple HOURS as I really wanted to make this work. The only way I was able to get a 3 ft section to peel off was to put the tape in the freezer for 10 minutes but it still was a fight and it only lasted for 36". Yes when I was able to get the backing to start peeling I pulled it back flat against it self so it did not lift as I pulled, but it only lasted a few inches. I tried BOTH packages and they were the same...If this was not a brand new desk I would have tried supergluing the strips on. Both packages were trashed, $18 and 2 hours wasted!!!

Toxic fumes to boot
Don't be fooled, while the product looks good, it has drawbacks applicably. The toxic fumes emanating from the product is the first thing you'll notice out the gate. It literally turned my stomach, but still, I forged ahead, overlooking this first red flag. Pliability is non-existent. Don't expect to bend this item around a rounded surface. It won't happen. Or rather, it will but not seamlessly enough to complement the shape of the item you're applying it to. Also, the surface area it covers is limited. The marketing photo shows the edge of a desk or counter being covered, but to offer a visual, this product wouldn't wrap, width-wise, around a pencil. Ultimately, I had to return the product and I can't stress this enough, it made me a little nauseas for a few hours and I'm not easily sensitive to odors. So, be careful.

Just what my cheap desk needed
This is exactly what I needed. I moved to working from home full time in March due to Covid, and bought a cheap desk to accommodate my large work set up. The down side of a cheap desk is the edges of the desk were sharp! I tried other methods, but they weren't cutting it. I finally decided to get this, and it works great. No more sharp edge or bulky padding to protect my forearms while I type. It's totally clear and virtually unnoticeable, and the tape was easy to use. I haven't found a use for the corner pieces, but I'm sure those will work great too.

The description is a lie
The photos and description all show 3M tape but I received that crappy red gooey tape that people had said is horrible to apply. I chose THIS one because it specifically said they sent 3M tape and it even show photos of them using 3M tape from a roll. You can't trust anything on Amazon anymore! RETURNED!

Great stuff,
I used this product for protecting my new leather office chair from the sharp corners of my metal and laminate desk top. The installation was simple, the adhesive grips like a weld, and the low profile of the material even makes it more comfortable when I rest my arms on the desk edge to type or write. My chair glides along the edge of the vinyl and remains undamaged. A small added bonus is that pens and small parts don’t roll of of the desktop. This is one product that covers all of the bases and lives up to its description. I like it.

less noticeable than colored corner guards
I bought this for the coffee table in my living room. I want the little one who I babysit to be safe, but it's a really cute table. I didn't want something that would take away from the beauty of the piece so this clear bumper is perfect. It was super easy to apply and it is barely noticeable unless you are actually looking for it. Hopefully, it will never be needed, but I am glad that it is there just in case she bumps into the edge of the table.

Good buy!
I got this as my baby is starting to stand and walk so I wanted to prevent him from bumping into the many sharp corners we have at home! I tried two other brands of corner bumpers and these were definitely the best out of the three. Yes, they can be peeled out if my baby really tries hard to but they definitely don’t come out as easily as the other brands!
