By default, it will back up all JPEG/JPG photos because this is the most common format for photos. You can select to have it back up PNG, GIF, TIFF, RAW, BMP, PDF, EPS, 3FR, ARI, ARW, BAY, CRW, CR2, CR3, CAP, DATA, DCS, DCR, DNG, DRF, EIP, ERF, EFF, GPR, IIQ, K25, KDC, MDC, MEF, MOS, MRW, NEF, NRW, OBM, ORF, PEF, PTX PXN, R3D, RAF, RWL, RW2, RWZ, SR2, SRF, SRW, TIF, and X3F images as well. For videos, it backs up M4V, MP4, MOV, AVI, 3GP, WEBM, MKV, TS, WMV, FLV, VOB, 3G2, and AVCHD formats. The Photo Backup Stick apps support English, Spanish, French, German and Japanese. The 32GB version stores over 10,000 photos at an average size of 3MB per photo (most smartphones take photos between 2.5MB and 3MB each).

Does Not Work
This item did not work with my Android phone. It did work on my sister's iPhone but not my Galaxy. UPDATE: I was contacted back by their support and they advised the logs I sent in from the photo stick showed it had a defective sector on it. They are sending a new photo stick and advised that I could keep the old one to use as a USB drive only. Very helpful and friendly support team.

It removed all my duplicates!
I bought this because it said it would remove my duplicates even if they were backed up from different devices. I knew I had many duplicates from my phone and computer but it didn’t remove them after I backed up my computer. I was so disappointed until I found the button to remove duplicates under the Options screen and it removed over 600 duplicates!

The app has glitches, returns are costly
Got the 64 and set it up to fins my photos. But no matter how I tried I could not get it to delete duplicates. I could see the tab but it was not clickable. I let it run because I don't have anything like that many GB's of unique photos but I do have a back up hard drive. By morning it was stalled "NO MORE MEMORY". I contacted the firm and they responded quickly with how to erase it and try again, but the same thing happened. I returned the item and got my refund, but be warned, you will pay for the return postage AND as "25% Restocking Fee".Never heard of such a thing!

EXTREMELY slow and sucks battery dry!
Going on 11 hours to try and back up less than 1000 photos from an Android phone. It has sucked my long life battery dry not once but twice and it still hasn't finished! At this rate, it will take at least another full charge and half a day to get the remaining photos. These are photos only, not video.This device is so incredibly overpriced and so non functional that it is ridiculous! The poor quality of this product needs to be investigated for criminal charges. Needless to say, this very expensive garbage is going back to these people immediately!If I could give it less than one star, I would. Do not buy if you want to back up your photos.

Not thrilled
I understand backing up 3000+ files will take a while but the USB continues to abort the backup. Every night I've been plugging it in and it only gets about 20 files saved in 2 hours. Connection is tight and phone is not used while backing up, but the Process aborts because the USB "isn't connected" - have not plugged into computer to check photos yet - hoping they are there.

Disappointing !
I thought downloading my pictures from my phone was a great idea.I purchased photo downloading stick. Got the app & everything was good to go. I had 1810 photos to download. This stick would download 4 to 5 pictures then say connection was unstable. This happen over & over. I had a few times this actually worked & I was able to download 65 to 72 photos. Then the same message. I downloaded approx 800 photo in 7 hours & I got a message abort the download. No option to override the abort. I hit back & everything was gone. Re-entered 500 pictures when this abort screen reappeared crashing the download an eliminating all data.Went to support for this stick & emailed them. Then I read reviews of product support & they all had the same issues as I encountered.That's when I realized this photo saving stick was a pos. Fortunately Amazon stood by me an I got my money refunded & returned the stick.

Warranty
This product is a game-changer for the storage on my phone, and I am pleased with the ease of use. However, I purchased the warranty, but have been unable to access it. The main issue is the fact that I do not know how to access the warranty.

Definitely not recommended for any Apple products
Please note this product does not work for Mac although it says it does. Also does not copies to separate folders and removed duplicated as described/ advertised. Also crash the Lap top which I need to reinstall from scratch. (I was lucky). Hence I would not recommend this for Apple product. Attaching picture

Not sure this was for real
I returned this as it did not work as promised. Since then I have looked at other advertisements for this product and the information that is brought up when installing is totally different to the one I had. Cannot say for certain this was a knock off but it is certainly suspicious

Good storage backup
This is an easy plug n play type of system that allowed us to store our photos. This eliminated the need for storing it on the cloud. The physical size is a bit too large compared to some of the other ones but the quality built is above average. The packaging it comes in is also nice enough to be giftable. Fairly easy to use and setup so it works well for us.

Handy and small
Very handy little device. Transferring is easy like plug in and done. Sometimes I have trouble choosing files to delete and don’t want to save it on the cloud. This device helps.

Poor value for price
Sadly, this product was very disappointing. The value is definitely not worth the price. It did not load as suggested and we ran out of space only 1/3 of the way through our pictures/videos on only one device. My advice is to invest in a decent sized external hard drive and backup your data and pictures that way.
