Hyper-expensive but elegant and highly functional
I bought the 12" but it was too big and heavy, so I sold it on Craiglist (within a couple of hours). Then I bought the 10" and liked it a lot, but hosed the seasoning by letting the pan overheat. After weeks of loving care, the 10" is now properly seasoned and does an outstanding job on many tasks. Superlative heat retention and transfer. This 8" is a little small for many applications. I bought mine with the lid and was disappointed how quickly the interior of the lid started rusting. Fixable, but a reminder cast iron requires special care. It has done a great job with brussels sprouts and cornbread. I plan some small-scale frying. Highly recommended if you can get past the sticker price.

Beautiful and functional and a great gift
other than the weight, this is a wonderful item and a great gift for the person in your life who likes cast iron. a perfectly smooth cooking surface, a well-fitting lid, even heating, easy clean. Used both stovetop and oven and I love it. Do be aware that it's heavier than other cast iron, so it's obviously not a back-packing item. I suspect my descendants 3 generations from now will be arguing about who gets to inherit this!

Fantastic Finex 8 inch pan with lid!
Simply fabulous pan, this has far exceeded my expectations! Yes, it’s expensive. It’s worth every penny. First test was frying up finely minced bacon ( to make bacon bits), it worked perfectly. Next, scrambled eggs with the freshly made bacon bits. Although the eggs stuck a little, it was nothing compared to the complete disaster in a Lodge pan. After cleaning, drying and re-seasoning the pan, the next test was 4 links of Kiolbassi garlic sausage, cut up into 2 inch chunks. The sausage came out crispy, no sticking, no burning. Evenly browned, delicious. Clean, dry and re-season. Third test was 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts. All browned up well, cooked uniformly. Like this pan so well I’m ordering one of the larger sizes ( with the lid)

Best of the Best Iron Skillets.
I have had a few iron skillets in the past, and I have never experienced an iron skillet of this quality before. I bought the 8-in skillet with matching lid, and they pair up beautifully, and its cooking abilities are unsurpassed! Wanna good sear on a piece of fish or steak, use this skillet, or matching larger one, and see what high quality, powerful cooking really is..... Clean up was also surprisingly easy because of the attention to detail of the sufaced cooking areas of the skillet being machined to resist the food from sticking etc. Yes, I would definitely recommend this product, and if cooking for more than two people, I would recommend their larger available skillets with matching lids. Cheers, D. M.

Pricy but amazing.
I love cast iron. I have a large collection of pots and pans that I have abused teaching myself how to cook with cast iron. It is easy to mess up heating a pan too quickly or running cold water over the heated pan turning it into a "stove spinner" warping the pan so that it will no longer heat evenly or sit on the stovetop well. The Finex brand looks amazing and takes all the abuse I heap on it. It has taken some impressive heat abuse and not warped. I really like these pans and I am looking forward to getting more Finex brand pans.

No better than Lodgecast
Eggs stick badly to these just as they do to other cast iron pans and the handle stub end and pan end get VERY hot. Go cheaper.

Smaller than I expected
I ordered the 8" thinking from the dimensions on the website this would be the size I wanted. Should have got the 10". The quality of the item seems impeccable and I'm sure it cooks well but because it's smallish we really haven't used it much. May purchase the 10" in future but for the moment are still using our old Lodge pan.
