High quality, durable! Buy this now!
This link cable is perfect!!! Why spend $80 on OEM when this will do everything you need for half the price. This is an excellent value for the money and I’ve tested the durability. Read on for more.I picked this up about a month ago after recommendation from a friend who bought the same 1. There were less expensive options but believe the product description page and take my review as testament. I don’t get free products and write fake reviews. I buy everything and if I have a lot of 5* reviews it’s because a) I am good at reading the reviews of others b) reading product descriptions and c) researching before making a purchase.Anyway the cable is made of thick high quality material and it’s long! 16’! I wrap up the cable when I am done using it. I also travel with it a lot. I bring it to my parents house for family fun. This cable has been stepped on thrown out of the way during intense beat saber sessions and hacked and slashed on during until you fall matches. It’s coiled up stored in a backpack and uncoiled and connected daily. The connection has never been lost to the headset or laptop. It has never failed to connect or be recognized by laptop or headset. If I plug it in, it works. Period. I usually take very good care of my equipment. But with 2 brothers who take gaming very seriously and are highly competitive this cable has weathered some things....I forgot to mention the cat that loves anything that moves, especially cables! He has batted this thing around and it’s still holding strong. I keep an eye on him and no chewing yet but again why I keep it coiled up in a backpack when not in use. Just another testament to durability.I was concerned how the cable goes in at a 90 degree angle and such a small adapter into the headset that it would be an issue. The tension of a heavy good quality cable reaching down to the ground from standing position is a lot of friction I would say. Think how easily generic lightning adapters can sometimes snap a you read about it and see pics in reviews. Nothing like that here.I was concerned with length of cable that there would be delays playing steam VR games through the cable. No issues. Data travels fast and smooth. Lag free. I find if I’m missing precision it’s usually because my machine needs a reboot vs. a cable issue. Reboot and it’s back to lightning fast performance.I did see less expensive cables around $25. Again I picked this up on the recommendation from a friend who has one and I had used myself. For $15 it’s worth it to know firsthand the quality and durability. It hasn’t steered me wrong. I fully expect it to last for years to come.

Better performance and more robust quality than the "official" one.
The official cable didn't work well for me. It was impossible to charge the HMD while using it. This one works for me, and charges the device while in use. Or reduces battery drain to a minimum under very heavy use. Either way, this does what the official cable SHOULD have done, for lest than a third of the price. How about that.

Does the job
Got this for my quest 2, works great. For whatever reason it didn't like my one usb port but once I changed it sidequest loaded right upEDIT: moved to 2 stars. It stopped letting me use the oculus link after 5 or 6 times. I'm returning it and getting a different brand. Others have had continued success but I was not one of those.EDIT 12/15/20: I have moved it back to 5 stars. After getting a new cable I was still not able to connect via Oculus Link. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling Oculus software and drivers. All my USB power settings were correct. I tried updating the options in Oculus Debug Tool and nothing worked. No matter what i tried my pc said it does not recognize the link and the app would crash. I finally found something on reddit that said to roll back your video card drivers, in my case it was AMD. I rolled back to approximately when it stopped working and to be safe i went back a few months prior. I uninstalled my Radeon Software and installed the "old" new drivers. Rebooted and hooked up my Quest 2 to my pc via the cable and it immediately saw it and opened up my Oculus and all my PC games. I never thought for a second that my updated video card drivers were the cause. I hope this maybe helps someone who maybe had the same issue I had and fixes it. I saw a few reviews that said the cable just stopped working, maybe it was not the cable and you updated your drivers. Roll them back, it's worth a shot.

It dose what I want it to.
This review is done after only having it for 2 weeks. So far the cable has been not bad it has good transfer speed have had no problem with playing games with it it charges my quest 2 as play or at least slows down the speed it decharges significantly. It’s not a perfect tho I feel 16 ft is just a couple feet short for my play area and my computer is right next to my play area and feels like it is kinda in the way. The cord is a little heavy but I have at least gotten use to having a little extra wight when using it .Overall so far it would say it is worth buying so long as you actually have 3.2 USB ports ( more than 1 preferably because it sounds like some people just don’t work in certain ports)Update: 1/22/2022Everything I have said here still stands. However, I tried to get the 16ft extension cord linked below and it did not work or rather it lost connection and was not recognized as USB 3.0. Could be my fault that I tried to do vid signal at 32 ft but just wanted to let you know.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0179MXKU8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This IS the Quest Link cable you're searching for *waves hand*
Bought a different cable when Quest link was first announced and always assumed it was just Oculus working out the kinks. Constant crashes, Long load times and I have a beast of a computer. So when I decided to get this cable I was a bit sceptical to be honest and I was in one of those "meh treat yo self" moods so I went for it. HOLY GAWD IM SO GLAD I DID! Turns out Quest link is pretty damn stable and my cable was the problem! This cable screams, load times are about a quarter of what they were before, graphics look cleaner and the whole set up is more responsive! I can't believe what I've been missing this whole time!

Great for Quest 2
I bought this for use with Quest 2.The length is perfect to allow slack for free movement of crouching, turning around, and even minor walking. The connection is stable and fast and the cable is thick and durable - perhaps a bit too thick as it makes it a bit heavy and less malleable for optimal movement but it is nearly perfect so that is only minor. In use I would recommend running the wire over your left shoulder, down your back, and out and away from you in order to keep it out of the way to help avoid tripping and pulling the cable lose from the headset.I do find it can be pulled from the headset fairly easily if slightly pulled and if you lose connection that way it is very annoying to reset software wise to reconnect to your computer.I am running this on my quest 2 with a Gigabyte A5 X1 gaming laptop. I do get lagging occasionally but I would say that is due to my laptop over working.

Oculus Link
