Be aware the photo for the item is NOT what you get, had I taken the time to read all the reviews I would have been aware of this. You do not get the mount that is pictured but ONLY the extension. I would not purchase this again as there are complete not name mounts for about the same money. Want a mount for your 1.75 Roto Pax container? Go elsewhere

It took me some time and an email to Rotopax to figure out exactly which extension I would need. Their 'help' videos leave something to be desired. I had originally installed their RX-DLX-PM Deluxe Pack Mount and had been using the 1.75 gallon water container, but wanted to stack the 1.75 fuel container on top. It wasn't clear to me which extension I would need exactly but according to an email from Rotopax, it was this extension that was required and yes, this is the correct one.It's an easy install, just unscrew the locking bars from the original mount, screw this extension set into the previously installed base, and then screwing in the older locking bars. The product photo on this page shows the extension set installed in the middle of a standard mount and no images of just the extension alone. Per other customer questions, there is no base plate included with the extension set, it is just the middle section alone.After installing, the containers stack up nicely. You can still use and secure one container alone with the middle locking bar. The second stacked container does not lock down quite as tight as the first no matter what you do. There is a minimal amount of rotation that can still occur but it's not much and it doesn't look like it will be a problem.One thing to be aware of is that when you do not have containers on the mount, the whole contraption sticks out horizontally 8 inches or so. It is something that made me consider just getting a completely new mount and mounting the containers in separate places but I decided on the extension in the end because I didn't want to take up more space along the side rail of my truck. I mounted the cans fairly low with the hope that when full at least part of the weight would sit on the bed of the truck to offset a little bit of the strain being held by a horizontal support. I have not heard of these breaking off but it made sense to me for my set up.Overall I'm pleased with the extension, it does what it is supposed to do and holds the second can securely. I will update this review if any of the hardware fails or there are any other problems.

no me gusto la compra ya que la foto del producto que aparece no es lo que llega finalmente. yo compre y esperaba lo mismo de la foto y no es asi, es solo la extension. leyendo los comentarios me di cuenta que esto no solo me ha ocurrido a mi sino que es una constante y obliga a comprar lo que falta para poder utilizarlo

This is only an extension. For the price and by the photo it should be the entire thing.

The attached picture is all I got NO MOUNT. Now I would have to order another mount which I doubt may come in in town for my camping trip. Description and image is not accurate. Company needs a more accurate picture. What they have is kinda misleading
