It is actually good product because I used it before but these had MOLD on them!

We’ve tried lots of different bottled roasted eggplant; this is by far our favorite (and my fiancé is a Turkish foodie with a critical palette). Wonderful flavors and a company that clearly cares about the health of its customers and the environment. A+.

two of the jars were leaking ! mold on the jars!and no way to return!

I use this in so many dishes—from dips to pasta and more. I wish that it were less expensive so that I didn’t have to save it for special treats. It is so good...

Great product, convenient packaging

I love eggplant, but got tired of having to freeze enormous amounts of puree every summer. Plus I no longer have access to a grill, so it's hard to get the smokey taste. So I've tried every kind of jarred eggplant I could find at the local middle eastern groceries. This one, recommended by a Turkish friend, is by far the best.Most jarred eggplant uses something acid--maybe citric acid?--as a preservative, that often overwhelms eggplant's mild taste. Not Gurme. The acid taste is low, and the smokey taste is pronounced. It's also not too watery. It works great in spreads (like baba g.), egg dishes (kuku), salads.The large can costs about as much as the jars would in a store (less than half of what the jars are going for online). Eggplant freezes well, so what you can’t use right away will keep. Go for it!

I really loved the flavor and the fact that there were no preservatives! Great addition to add on the table
