This is very nice incense. The scent is lovely and natural
This is very nice incense. The scent is lovely and natural, it doesn't smell synthetic or perfume-y at all. It smells like bark and a warm spice. It is a subtle scent compared to some others, but the incense itself isn't wimpy and will fill a room without being overpowering or lingering after it's done. The burn time is about what you would expect, and it does not contain a stick. (If you have a stick-type incense burner, you can use a knife to cut the tip to fit in the hole, or stick it in clay, putty, or play dough.) It comes in a pretty box which is nicer than I expected from the picture. The price is great for how many sticks you get.

ideal air-freshener
a Big Box with faint scent of natural aloeswood: yet this stick is also a rare practical accomplishment!Given the increasing quality of inexpensive aloes now coming out of Viet-Nam. I expected some depth. So when I first tried this box, I was disappointed.Inititally the cellulose odor (aka "campfire scent") was all I heard for weeks. It took me a long time to recognize the occasional scent of aloes in here. With time and familiarity, I've come to appreciate two things: The product consistently offers a clean and fragrant campfire scent, something which generally works best with some ventilation. Then most recently, I realized: These sticks are superb at neutralizing the strongest unpleasant odor, even heavy cooking odors of frying fish. One stick fully fumigates my large apartment, leaving the space smelling clean without any masking perfume. This joss is noticeably more neutral than sage smudge

Burns longer, but scent could be better
This aloeswood incense is not as pleasant as some, but it’s ok. I do like the longer burning sticks.

Very faint smell but pleasant!
If you're in a small space and you don't want to fill it with smoke and strong smells, this is it!The scent is VERY mild and requires two sticks for me to burn so that the aroma lingers. I know that a lot of agarwood is very strong and can overpower your nose. This incense, on the other hand, has a very gentle aroma that will seep into the background without sending your nose into a frenzy. The smell is very pleasant and I'm very happy I purchased this.

Nice subtle smell
Smell is not so intense but it has a nice woodsy smell with the slightest hint of spice. I prefer it to intensely perfumey smelling (indian) incense. Sticks are a bit short and thin but seem to last around 20-30 minutes (which isn't bad if you want a short meditation or don't want your incense to burn for a lonnnnnnnng time), I would've preferred something that lasts about 40-50 minutes but they're nice and the pricing isn't bad so you can always burn two instead since you get about 17 sticks for a dollar.

I will buy again!!
When I received this and opened the box I literally smelled nothing..not..one..thing. I decided to light a stick and was pleasantly surprised, that a soft subtle incense reminiscent of aloes agarwood, with perhaps a touch of spice (cinnamon) wafted thru my home. What a lovely scent! I will buy again as this isn't one of those "gaggy" head shop type incenses from the 70's. This is something you can light before dinner guest arrive to give a room "atmosphere". Love It!

Rubbish (might be too harsh?)
My aunt in HK gave me some Borneo agarwood incense --thin and hand-rolled-- the last time I visited. She introduced me to the spiritual, relaxative effects of agarwood. Because I was running out, I decided to buy this online. Thoughts: 1. It does not smell like real agarwood to the discerning--or even not that discerning-- nose, 2. It does absolutely nothing if you're seeking the medicinal sedative effects of real agarwood. I bought this partly for my insomnia, and this, while an average, pleasant enough scent, really doesn't cut the mustard.

Pleasant, gentle aroma
Unlike most incense, this is not obnoxious and pungent. It's a delicate, woody smell that is calming to the nose. Try it out, you'll enjoy it.
