Basic Downspout Diverter Kit Rain Barrel Accessory

All components fit as expected. During first rain event the hose connecting from the diverted to the barrel came off as it filled with water. Luckily I was right there when I happened so I put the cap on in place of the hose (so that water wasn't running directly out of the bottom of the diverted and next to the foundation of my house). I will try a zip tie to fix this issue.

Ok product. Pain in the butt to install and barrels take forever to fill but it works. Wish there was a little more fit and finish on the main unit though. Rough edges and off-sizing of door part into housing unit makes for an unperfect fit.

I can't make the downspout fit into the adapter in the top of the unit, even though it is the right size. So I don't have it installed. I'll try to find someone who can help me squeeze the downspout down to make it fit.

Really works well. I bought another after trying it.

I bought this kit two years ago. It works nicely and has held up well so far. It's a little tricky to install; I advise to go slowly and read directions carefully to avoid cutting your downspout in the wrong place. Should be checked every month or so because debris does collect inside it, but better there than in the rain barrel!
