The Complete Guide to Playing Blues Guitar - Compilation

Complete Treatise on Blues Guitar
I've been trying to learn to play guitar in general for several years, with occasional periods of lessons and self study. I realized that I haven't really learned to PLAY the guitar other than exercises and the occasional lick or two. I wanted to really drill down into funky blues guitar and looked through several books on the subject. When I discovered Joseph Alexander's book, I thought I had finally found the right one since I have other books by him. His teaching style is clear and concise and is thoughtful to include theory as it applies to what the subject is and nothing extraneous. I was going to buy book one, but then realized he had all three books in one compilation, which is cost saving as well as having all the material in one place. If you want to learn Blues Guitar, this is one of your best resources.

New challenges on every page
I have a number of Joseph Alexander's books (including ones written solely by him and co-authored). I keep coming back to these books because they are clearly written and provide excellent material. I played guitar as a teen, then life got in the way. I have picked the guitar up in my 50s. Unlike my younger self, I want to know the theory behind what I am playing. Joseph provides clear, readable description of the theory without overwhelming and plenty of music examples to re-enforce the theory in practice. I enjoy taking licks from the books, playing with them and weaving them into my own music.
